I love all your podcasts! I live alone my husband passed away May 27th 2022. Before he passed he was living in a nursing home for 5 years. But I visted him . I miss seeing and talking to him on the phone. My second holidays without him. I know God is with me every day seeing me through .I am glad that I am a Christian. I still watch Christmas movies. I have six movies with you in it. My favorite one of your Christmas movies. Is Christmas Town.
Ms. Virginia, my heart aches for your loss. Jesus, please continue to cover Ms. Virginia with the peace and comfort that she needs to live this life without her beloved husband, and that she finds joy and love knowing that You are always beside her. I pray that You will bring her a good group of friends - sisters/brothers in Christ - who can help her grief, pray, smile, and laugh. Be with her, hold her up when she feels weak, and remind her that she will one day see her husband again in heaven. Amen. Ms. Virginia, continue to watch Christmas movies, because I do, almost all year long. 😊 It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy. My hubby and son vehemently disagree. ☺️
Mitch Albom is one of my favorite authors. I was a young mom when I read Tuesdays with Maury and Five People You Meet in Heaven. Those books I then shared with everyone giving them as gifts. They were so impactful on my life. And now in almost 30 years later, I jump at every chance I get to donate my money, my gifts or time to help those in need or just be there to listen when someone needs to talk.
I’ve watched this man on a lot of talk shows, he makes everyone cry! Every word out of his mouth is so deeply profound and touching. He has spent so much of his life giving and being selfless, kudos to him! And thank you Candace.
My 12th grade English teacher read Tuesdays with Morrie to us the last few minutes of every class. That was 19 years ago. And, since then I have read all of Mitch's books since then. All are wonderful but Tuesdays with Morrie holds a special meaning for me. Candace you should have him on for a season! I could listen to him all day. Thank you❤
This podcast has been very interesting to listen to and very enlightening! I'm an American who lives in Germany for almost five years now. Recently, I found out that I have German Jewish relatives who escaped to America before WWII and I also have relatives who didn't go to America and died in the Holocaust. Finding this out has given me an even deeper love for God's chosen people. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and a very spiritually sensitive person. In Germany there is a heaviness spiritually over the country and I live in it every day. America feels much more free and open spiritually in comparison to living here. The people here don't have a pride in their country like we do in America. There's still a shame here that the people carry from WWI and WWII. To hear about this book and the lie little Niko told without even knowing it connects somehow how to the spiritual atmosphere here in Germany. The shame and guilt that the people still carry from the past and the lies that still linger here. It's not easy to explain, but to hear from this perspective is intriguing and how long the past carries on from generation to the next. I'm thankful to follow this podcast and learn and feel the lightheartedness of Candace. It's tough to live here with the language, culture and people being so different from the America I know and love, but I know God's promise in Matthew 19:29 and one day it will all make sense how worth it our sacrifices are now. I love you Candace! Thank you for being a light that shines in the darkness!
Thank you for making all your podcasts. They are all filled with so much power of God and His love and peace. God brings peace thru your delivery of His word. God bless you and everyone who listens to your podcasts.
What a wonderful interview! I loved “Tuesdays with Morrie”. I also love and appreciate your movies because they are positive and uplifting. Many thanks to you and people like Mitch who courageously create entertainment which inspires!
Lol this was a fantastic interview. I loved how candid he was about "blurting" something out and then having to carry it out. We've all been there, but I think his is the biggest blurt I've ever heard! ❤
This podcast with Mitch was so good. I read his book Tuesday's with Morrie years ago. Picked it up at Costco. I love storytelling and that's the format of that book. Candace, you speak with others in so much love.
This was so beautiful to hear about how giving in this way is selfless. We need to get back on the bandwagon and do something so profound and heartfelt. God bless you sir and Candace. We need more beautiful reminders and love for others in this world.
Great Christmas episode 🙏! I did read Tuesdays With Morrie many years ago & did enjoy it 👍 Mitch was wonderful to listen to, he has a lot of wisdom 😍 I would love for you to talk with Dr. Gary Chapman next Christmas or even sooner if possible 😎
The intro is perfectly telling: Energy and Time cost estimation, and physical cost-benefit analysis: Moving An Arm VS Moving A Tongue To Motivate An Arm. Which is cheaper and faster? Girls catch on quickly. Call it an adaptive ability for maximizing their leverage in an environment. How men link words with acts VS How women utilize and deploy words are different. Or at least how they seem to first learn to use and understand them early on. 'In all thy getting, get understanding.' (and please teach it if one can to the young ones, right?) Now, Mature Yourself, I Say! Easier said than accomplished tekton-ically.
4:22 I love your laugh, Candace. And you’re beautiful. Goes to show, age is just a number. It ain’t related 2 ur podcast, Candace, but this is Christmas-related, and u love Christmas. will always remember the scene from Home Alone series, when Kevin McCallister imitates the character from the movie on-screen “Merry Xmas Ye filthy animal, and a happy new year”. Also, Candace u should invite, Michael Imperioli on your podcast. He was born in an Italian-American family in the Northeast, but became a Buddhist. It will be interesting conversation, though he is not a Christian like u Candace, but Buddhist believe in God, though it’s different.
