Let's Talk about Planterina 

I just wanted to update everyone and say that Amanda is back with a new channel called "Make it with Amanda". While it doesn't seem like it will be plant-focused, I think we can all agree that we'll love it no matter what because we love Amanda! I hope I can continue to be a good houseplant resource for everyone. I love making videos for you, and I love getting to interact with you. Thank you so much for your support!

I miss Amanda and Planterina! Not only was she informative, but she was funny and taught me alot as a new plant parent. I use to watch her videos at least once a day and I really hope she comes back on!❤

OMG! I am heartbroken. I had been so busy the past while and just realized that I hadn’t seen a Planterina video lately. So I went searching and your video was the first one to share the terrible news. I discovered Amanda’s videos during Covid and she ignited my passion for plants like no other. I consider her a good friend and I miss her terribly!

Miss the quirky lady. She made plants look good. No one better than her in plant styling. Hope she comes back soon .❤

💚 Amanda was always so humble in her approach to plants. She never set herself up as the authority on plants but shared freely about plant failures. Her warm personality and her sense of humor made all of us want to be her friend. I hope she's doing something really enjoyable right now. I miss her channel. When I started watching plant videos on RU-vid she was the first one I found. I was hooked from the first video and watched her everyday till no videos left to watch. I loved her personality and she always made me laugh.

Amanda was so bery helpful during the first wave of the Covid-19 government shutdown. That's when I discovered her channel. I had a few plants but later that number grew due to her encouraging banter. I even purchased a few from her. I wish her well. Thanks for your mentioning her so fondly.

I, too took it pretty hard and had a tear in my eyes. I had seen the "Pretty in Green" channel where he openly talked about this since Amanda and he were friends. She is doing well she wanted to let her old viewers know this and that she cared about all of us and truly missed us. I had watched her channel for years and she was my plant guru.......loved her channel and she always made me laugh. She really was a gift to us. She had such a talent, creativeness, joy for plants and loved trying new techniques and was always truthful to us if it didn't pan out. It was a great pleasure knowing this lady and I feel as though she gave most of us more confidence in pursuing this wonderful enriching hobby especially during the tough last few years! I am sure we will see her again on another you tube channel so everyone watch the feeds. She will reemerge bigger and better.....just wait! We miss her for now and send her love and light and before you know it she will be back again.

All of them arrived healthy and undamaged since they were carefully packaged and shipped quickly from Florida. I loved her genuine spirit so much! She had a sweet, awkward, fun girl next door vibe. I bought 3-4 cool rare plants from her and just repotted a monstera Peru today and was going to check out soil needs and she was gone. I hope all is well with her and her family .? Amanda and “Planterina” got me, and it sounds like countless others, through a lot of hard times. She probably didn’t realize she was touching the lives and hearts of so many of us. Wherever she is, I truly hope the best for Amanda and her family.

So so sad about it. I just went looking for her channel last week because I knew it was getting close to her redesigning her backyard patio for spring/summer. I found her channel back in 2021 when I was first starting with plants. She provided so much information, inspo, and value to the beginner and to the plant hobbist. I watched her videos every spring/summer/fall. I’d rewatch her videos on plant care for low light plants like 10 times just so I can learn at first. I also had her on in the background as well if I was cleaning, doing work, etc. She even gave me some home decor ideas that I used. Loved it when she took us to the greenhouse in Florida with her. Anyway, I could go on. But I hope she comes back. Definitely one of my favorite channels on RU-vid for sure. I’d put her in top 3 of my fave channels. I bet a lot of people are looking for her now that the weather is getting warmer and people are excited to redecorate their homes just to find she’s not here

I was wondering about her myself when i did not see her videos pop. But i just seen her for the first time since last year on a short on face book. So am following her there.

She is very honest and experienced. Plants and greenhouse owner. As a plants grower over twenty years.that I like to watch basically only her channel to get some information whenever need their are hundreds of pants channels, but they are inexperience plants growers who just buy big plants and hanging and videos for their channel then killed them.

I’m taking this a lot harder than I thought I would. She was instrumental in my plant journey, which is a part of my mental health journey, and “transition into adulthood” journey. I’m so sad that she couldn’t (or didn’t) keep the channel. In a perfect world, I hope it’s set to private, and she’s editing all mentions of Planterina ou, and re-releases it. I know that Planterina a business name, and she’s “just” the spokesperson, and now the business is dissolved, but I feel like she IS planterina for so many people. I hope she comes back in some way-if she wants to. Content making isn’t easy, I know, and I wouldn’t want her to feel like she owed us anything. But I hope she makes a channel and at least says goodbye.

Hi from NY where planterina is also from. Yeah Dude, it's all strange. She just disappeared. I have no reason why or if she'll be back. But she certainly was a bubbly plant lover and shared about plants in that same manner. She may be deeply disappointed about her business for what ever reason not have done well. She certainly started out strong. Maybe she went big and overextended herself and somehow it just ended up not working for her. I'm just speculating. Whatever it is of course she won't be forgotten. Hope she will come back but only time will tell. You have a good one. Thanks for sharing a mention of her and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND FAMILY!

Oh nooooo, i honestly didnt know she was mia as far as online persona is concerned... and that is because she taught me alot last spring, summer and fall , wich was my 1st full year of collecting and caring for plants. I for 1 dont have a great memory, or pay attention in the first place to easily. 😅 however there are a select few teachers, influential personalities that snag my attention and to my surprise , actually tightly hold onto it 😅 amanda from planterina gave me enough valuble information on house plant care wich in turn helped me cate for my self.... but i havnt looked at her content since last fall because shes a bad ass and with her guidance i am confident in taking care of my plants... I got on her to just see how shes doing and what fun/artistic things she might be doing for spring. I hope she comes back

Planterina was a fun channel to watch. I enjoyed Amanda's humor and ideas. She mentioned the store had closed, maybe she had become tired of making videos. I've heard that burnout is an issue with YT content creators. Hopefully she will be back eventually, making new and interesting content.

Business stuff can be tricky. A video game channel I sometimes watch had to delete a lot of their videos when a partner left. I think they finished "remaking" videos about those games a few months ago. I really hope she comes back!

Oh yes I liked Amanda because of her down to earth approach to plant care, flexible information style and she has a good sense of humor too, not one of the RU-vidrs who insists that you must use this, that and the other eg white rhino teardrops.....or your plant will hate you and die, 😂 😂the parody of her is hilarious, I hope she resurfaces, oh and I really like this guy's channel too, banes botanical, you should check it out. 😁😁
