I can definitely relate to what you are saying. I played mouthpieces with too large a throat and/or backbore, because I didn't understand the effect it had on my playing. Now that I do I actually reduced the backbore and throat to where I still have the beauty in the sound, but the sound doesn't go nasal on me. It was a journey though. But I am glad that these kind of videos give players more understanding of their mouthpiece. So thank you for your videos!

Sounds a bit different than how Dr. Dave Harrison explains it.

@@explodingsausage6576 - wrong about Dr. Dave. His mouthpieces are fantastic. Not even a brand new idea. But tell me, what is your personal experience with Wedges? I still play my 110g brass and 110G hybrid. Especially when warming up. Been playing them professionally from 2016 to date (full disclosure: I retired from public playing at 69 years old 2 years ago, but still play 2-3 hours a day for my own enjoyment. I was bass trombonist in a local symphony orchestra and a professional t-bone 4-tett).
