So I 10/10 I reccomend getting a recast contemptor Emperors Children dread. I love Rylanors story. I play IG and I love him and would play him if I could.
Recently bought a Contemptor off Ebay, really excited to kitbash it into a Thousand Sons Psychic Dreadnaught, even if those don't exist in the game. I might even use the old 30k crimson color scheme instead of the Rubricae colors, just to help designate it as an ancient weapon from the Great Crusade era! Terrific video, excited for your channel to grow!
@@N1CHR0 100% I think we need some big fast killy Daemon engine or just give us the decimator and id be happy. I guess we'll see what our second wave brings 🤞
Im interested if the community prefers the „boxnaught“ Design (like the venerable dreadnought) or the Primaris Redemptor Dreadnought. From what Ive seen the 40K community prefers the primaris redemptor but even as a newer collector I heavily favor the old ones. Let me know what you think with a reply. Thank You for reading and have a nice day! :D
Okay I’m torn here lol so I got into 40K with space marine 1 and the first dawn of war game. So my first love was the boxnaught and I’d say it’s more iconic to the franchise. But my answer is full rogue here as my favorite is the deredeo platform 😂 but I’d say good old boxy right after that
The actual miniatures of the castraferrum look bad. They are super small and not dynamic at all. They also don't look that they could walk. The legs are just too short and stiff, the proportions in general are off. I am a fan of some artworks of the castraferrum because they are icon. The only decent interpretation of the castraferrum comes from Dawn of war 2 because it is bigger and has better sculpted legs in the game.
Ahh good ol' grampy Bjorn, you'd love the space wolf omnibus. Remember before the Horus Heresy when the legions were all but unified in the crusade, Torgaddon, and Loken of the Luna Wolves accompanied by Sigismund of the Imperial Fists once bantered amongst themselves about who's legion was the strongest. ‘The answer, always, is the Wolves of Fenris,’ Torgaddon put in, ‘because they are clinically insane.’ [Excerpt: Horus Rising] I was just glad I wasn't the only person that thought my favorite chapter was a little........... eccentric. Good video!
I think its the clashing angled and rounded armor plates that seem distributed randomly. Some edges are sharp and some aren't, they don't seem like they were really intentionally placed. The boxnaughts are all brutal sharp angles with the arms and legs being the only clearly rounded portions as they rotate, and the heresy dreadnoughts are designed with rounded edges, I would assume to be more practical in deflecting attacks. The primaris dreads lack this consistency
@@daeamiralis I disagree. The Primaris Dreadnought is literally a modern interpretation of the castraferrum. I don't understand what you are talking about at all. Redemptors, Ballistus and Brutalis Dreadnoughts are just better proportioned castraferrum dreadnoughts which are a super old outdated design. Icon but outdated, at least miniaturewise. The consistence is actually pretty high though. Castraferrum dreadnoughts and Primaris Dreadnoughts have a lot of similar design elements.
@@Backpflaume666 ngl I kinda hope the Castra get the HH 2.0 treatment and get a updated model. I remember looking at them when I first got into the game and tried to figure how they moved.
