Let's Talk About The Hospital 

In this new video on my youtube channel ‪@Lifeskills2learnwithBecca‬, we explore the hospital! Many individuals with complex communication needs also have medical diagnoses that will require them to visit the hospital. All too often, we don't explain or desensitize our students to what a hospital is like, who they will see, what tests he/she/they make have, etc. This video gives an overview of why you go to a hospital, what you might see at a hospital and what tests might occur (scan, x-ray, etc.).
The questions at the end are meant to quick comprehension and a time to discuss the hospital. It can also be a great time to expand vocabulary for both receptive and expressive vocabulary.
For AAC users, model important language such as hospital, hurt, doctor, nurse, and other health information!
