I've been studying episode 3 and have found his robe in one moment is brown and then in the very next cut of the same scene it is black. Several well lit scenes show that it is black like when he was with padme. One thing that was consistent is that his pants were always brown yet in the picture you show at the Star wars celebration the pants appear to be black. I think they were fudging the costume a little bit for the celebration. when he fought Obi-Wan they were definitely brown.
There was no fudgeing of colour or display. The idea that it HAS to be black has been a long time fallacy. It is literally lighting and colour grading. I also own actual swatches of the costume.
Do you happen to remember what the screen used lug sole model number was? I’m having boots made for me right now, and would really like to include that sole if possible.
I think Funtasma makes sinthetic leather boots for SW costumes, but I'm not pretty sure; and I'd like to know which other companies make "vegan boots" (I'm a vegan, so I don't wear leather, nor sheepwool).
