Those 8-40 screws, go to Brownells in the scope base mount section. Those are commonly used for some of the high recoil and harder kicking firearms that commonly require those. Gunsmiths can always replicate EXACTLY what those mounting screws are.

I didn't think there was a baffle !! Mac's sounds unmistakable two pretty much any other saws lol I'm working on a Mac and I lost a bolt and for the live of me, just can't find one that will work got the song running and back together all the one bolt that happens to hold the handle to the Saw by far the most challenging chainsaw I've ever worked on hands down!!!!

I have a 3120xp with 36" bar. Can't imagine anyone ever taking it "up a tree". Pretty much for trunk bucking.

I met Mark a couple of times at Randy's GTG, What a super nice guy. Couple of years ago I brought 4 or 5 used 1/2" pitch chain loops and gave them to him. At that time I think he was just breaking ground on the building and that donating some "rare" chain would be a nice addition to the project. I had no idea the extent of his bar and chain inventory/collection until he posted some pictures on the forum. LOL!!!!! Maybe add link in the description to the thread on OPEforum would be great for those who haven't seen the LONG process to get where he's at now.

Yes, definitely, Mark has spent a lot of time compiling all of that stuff, but I think some of it now finds him since he has a name for himself... He's got a really great shop there and you can tell he loves spending the time improving the place!

McCulloch LG 10-series saws had gear driven oilers in the little side cover on the gear box. I know y'all got on the oiler subject and that's the only other mac saw I have seen with gear oiler.

That's a really good call out.... I'm sure some of the Italian Macs had gear driven stuff, but in the realm of real Macs That's an interesting tidbit
