FWIW, wild crows live about 7-8 years on average, and can reach 15-25 years pretty regularly in captivity. The world record for a pet crow is closer to 60 years but that's unconfirmed and may be hogwash, although geneticists agree it's possible. Their relatives rooks and ravens are longer-lived, averaging 10-15 years of age in the wild and over 30 in captivity. Pet ravens have reached 50 years on occasions, making them longer-lived than Edgar Allen Poe was - "Nevermore!" indeed. The numbers for wild crows are pulled down a lot by the fact that most die before they reach their first year, which is pretty common for small birds. If they make it past their youth odds of reaching a decade go up dramatically. Of course none of that allows for magic, and even in the real world smarter crows tend to live longer just by making fewer mistakes that would get them killed - much like people, oddly enough. :)

@@OntheTableGaming The internet knows all...and I had occasion to research crows a couple of decades back when my home town was having problems with some of the locals wanting to poison them en masse. Turned out their actual bird problem had nothing to do with crows and they were too stupid to know the difference between them and starlings. :)
