The introductory remark by the host is misleading. Perhaps she is not well-versed with the subject. The Meghalaya tourist taxis did not seek a ban on entry of Assam tourist taxis into Meghalaya.

If more ML tourist vehicles comes up, more revenue will come to the Meghalaya govt....as of now Meghalaya govt only permit tax from AS vehicles not other taxes as they charge from ML vehicles...it will not impact the economy if there is compromising with the Assam counterpart....it's just replacing a vehicle from AS to our local ML
My question is why only All-Khasi Meghalaya Tourist Taxi Association (AKMTTA) Why are other communities excluded from participating in the association? why such discrimination?

Just to highlight here that no any association has the right to interfere eith the free movement of vehicles in snd around tourist spot as tourist spots are owned by the Dorbar shnong ....no special parking to any association ad it is meant for all...
