My favorite part of this isn't even any of the info about the game, just the interpersonal stuff and what it's like to be together in person for some adventures. Really great chat here with some and funny moments, love you guys.

So as one of the folks who complained a bit about the audience interaction on the last podcast, I think it would be bad form of me to not also praise when that feedback was actually listened to. Thank you very much. This was a great talk, you guys have good chemistry together and enough both overlapping and diverse opinions to make it a very interesting listen. Not yet sure if the Spiritborn is a class for me, but if nothing else I'm looking very much forward to seeing other people play it :)
Crusaders are a splinter order of Paladins that were spun off when Mephisto's influence started corrupting the faith. Their mission was to go out into the wider world and find worthy help, while also being living archives of the church's knowledge. They created a system of master and apprentice, where they'd find a squire who would take up the name and armor of their master when they died. There's a cluster of Crusaders who have given up in Zarbinzet who have some side quests and voice lines about what's been up with them.
Right, I remember the small bit of lore we get in D4. Right now it's fair to say the only way Paladin make it back into the game is through a redemption arc story of Inarius' cult.
They're all over the campaign too .. which makes it really weird to be having this discussion at all with anyone, let alone Blizzard. At the very least they could push for a "new type" , like Templar. That would make for a really cool and interesting tangent to the established method, making a companion character class a player character class. It would feel more in line with what they did with Rogue. They could also bring back Dominic Keating ( Kormac ) for this connection with the past order, and bringing it to the front so that it makes sense to have them back again as a playable character. The Templar who followed the Crusader (and/or other nephalem ) all the way to the high heavens, and then back again. Taking up his companion / friend / mentor's charge when they were done, to form a new order of Templars.
@@MacroBioBoi Not necessarily the only way, but the most obvious way in the current story and location. If there was a second expac that opened up the western continent, that would give us a lot more holy possibilities to work with.
I'm a Paladin main since D2 released back in thee olden days. I have always loved the lore and aesthetics of a devout knight. Dedicating himself to the protection of his people and the absolute destruction of evil. Shining armor, swords, shields, big flowing capes. When I'm decimating endless hordes of demons I want to do it with the power of God. Whichever God that may be in whatever game I am playing.
I really like the lucky hit mechanic also. Its very similar to d2 (example, some gear had 5% chance to cast frost nova on hit, or cast LVL (x) meteor upon leveling up). I really am glad they kep the mechanic similar. Glad to hear they are aldo bringing back the "chance to block" mechanic! I would absolutely love if they finally implement the rune word system into d4 in a similar, but different, way that it was in d2!! Aldo i would enjoy having set items. The sets don't HAVE to be build defining as they were in d3. Example: Make a set for Druid that "changes Earth skills into Ice" Make them where they provide skill changin effects, but not the most powerful items.
I already have an idea for a thought na build, wonder if because it applies your thorns if razorplate could proc on your basic attacks. Also if adaptability and moonrise apply as well as pain gorgers. I don't want to spread my build yet I want to test it but since hey murdered my thorns barb I want this to work
Personality, I want a much larger skill tree but perhaps you can’t choose everything. Yes, just double it in size and give 25% more points so u can choose alittle more but not to much
I think rax was right on point that with the raids if you aren't playing a spiritborn you won't get in a raid. I tried running a pit service for 101s and giving away runs and because I was a thorns barb even tho I can do t144 i got nobody to run with me because I wasn't whirlwind dust devil tyreals might build because the extra 30 seconds it takes me per run made people not even accept it for free....
I got so bored speed running 101 pits with ww barb. So much more fun playing with a group where it takes a little collaborative effort and chemistry to push reasonably fast, not just push button clear screen.
So you basically get infinite healing, and barrier, and also dodge chance and crazy block chance and a ton of avenues to get damage reduction. That sounds crazy
And there are paladins, there are also people from the cathedral of light. They are holy people. Like they could have done it. Also a traveler could come from the west to help and it could be a paladin. There could also be some paladins left wandering the eastern continent. Maybe just saying I'd love to see pally

If they put exclusive gear as raid rewards at the higher levels, I would never obtain them. I don’t play enough. And that’s ok with me. Others fun shouldn’t be determined by my play time.
I also want the holy man back in it. Class seems WAAAAY too powerful. Click this get more skill tags. Like if druid wanted to make werewolf skills into storm skills it has to use certain items. It's got crazy PASSIVE multipliers. You passively get 100% x thorns and your abilities do 100% of your thorns damage like wtf nerfed barb because it's too strong and release a class that has 10 passive skills that also activate

Seeing D4 content creators come up with some of the craziest copium theories on stuff is mind boggling. "They capped us at level 60 .. we had 69 points .. WHAT DOES IT MEAN!?!?!?!" It means they wanted you to play pre Torment 4 nonsense .. and you do know you get 10 points from renown right? 69 is a meme number .. at least 1 person immediately picked up on it and said the obvious cringe statement. Seriously ... its a whole new act ... what level do people normally get to when they finish the campaign right now? Around 50. What do you think adding another 20% of the campaign to do is going to allow? Uh .. leveling 20% more? What's that number? 60? Mind explosion with glitter. Ive seen Raxx go on some insane theories about stuff .. and Wudi is pretty bad with it too. Bug godang guys .. this is really trying to stretch the obvious here into some conspiracy you'd see out of UFO fanatics or right wing nuts. It's a video game, it's not The National Treasure. This kinda stuff just detracts from a good conversation / topic into nonsense for a long length of time.
