The colors came out fantastic! So now I’m inspired to use the rest of my turquoise I’ve had for a month lol it’s so pretty I didn’t bother throwing it out! Going to do the bunched up look like you did. I’ve been doing so many spirals I need to try something else lol. I keep doing the spirals so that I can get better at it but im getting bored lol. Hopefully mine comes out as pretty! ❤️
Hi Jennifer, If you want more white, there are a few things you could do. You could start with a dry shirt so the colors won't soak in as far. Or you can tie it up a lot tighter. WIth more resist, the dye won't penetrate as far.
You get the best results if you wait a long period of time. The colors will be more muted if you wash the shirt after an hour or so. You can also steam set the dye - I've used a dedicated dye pot (not used for food) to steam for 30 minutes for good results.
