Couldn't be more grateful... Had tears flowing through my eyes... I stayed at ajassor, 3 kilometers to the border for five years, schooled in FGC Ikom, from 2004 to 2006. So I know what it feels like. If I'm privileged to meet with the owner of the video, I'll love to give him a treat of a lifetime. Thank you for rekindling old memories

I visited FGC Ikom and FSTC Ogoja in 2018 on an official assignment from Abuja. I recall taking pictures of the sign post that reads “Cameroon border” ...Ikom is such a sleepy town yet active and serene that I felt cut off from the hustle and bustle of Nigeria. There was plenty of pounded yam, rich soup and bush meat to eat. After my visit there, I proceeded to FGC Ikot Ekpene( one of the schools with the biggest land mass- too big for just a secondary school), FGGC Ikot obio Itong( one of the neatest places on earth) and finally FGGC Calabar. The greenery you get with these places is top notch and the people were very welcoming.if you want to see ancient churches built by missionaries, visit these places. Transiting out, we met series of military check points. We were asked to identify ourselves or speak our native language( this was a way to really identify that we weren’t foreigners but Nigerians) I was lucky to also connect my trip to FGGC Abuloma, FGC Porthacourt and FSTC Ahoada (a very unsafe place. Kind hearted locals there advised that I hurriedly get done with my work and leave to town for my safety) . It breaks my heart knowing that Nigerians can’t freely tour their beautiful country because of bad roads and insecurity. There are a million and one beautiful places hidden in every corner of our country, Naija🇳🇬 I forgot to mention that I went home with different varieties of crayfish (nkiki), prawns and fishes from my visit to CrossRiver 🍤🐟🐠 I should return soon!

All parts of Nigeria are beautiful. Politicians are our problem, not ethnicity. My uncle from Edo State studied at Ahmadu Bello University in the 70s. He used to travel, drive, by road to Benin City. No kidnapping, no police harassment, hardly robbery, etc. All Nigerians must know that politicians are our problem. Beautiful ride 👍👍👍

Good job Arlin TV, taking us on the trip with you. It was really heart-warming seeing the green vegetation along the way. For those of us who've been gone for a long time, that was really refreshing. I went to school at the Federal School of Arts and Science, Ogoja, back in the 70's. So my memories came alive watching your video, and I really appreciate it. Please return to this region and complete the trip to the bridge that you were talking about. I'm really curious about the state of the bridge and the crossing into the Cameroons. I'm very impressed with the quality of the road and how clean the environment is, compared to some videos that I've seen from other parts of the country. I love your channel man. Keep it up. Peace!

I was born and raised at Ekok , so this is my road I remember when we use to cross to Nigerian side to play football. Actually for people living at Ikom , Mfum and Ekok we don’t need any form of documentation to cross to the other side. As a matter of fact our car that we use at Ekok had but a Nigerian Matriculation because we frequent Ikom for our shopping inter Alia . We even use both currencies like when u want to buy something at Ekok ( Cameroon side ) u can either pay with Naira or CFA. The relationship is very healthy though sometimes we use to fight with the Nigerians immigration because the6 hardly recognize those of us from the Cameroonian side and they will ask us for passports hahahahah

One of the most informative as well as down to earth Nigerian travel videos I have watched. Well done 👍 It's very normal for me to leave England go on the ferry to France and drive to Germany and a few other countries. But it seems that's not normal practice in Nigeria. To just go on q short trip to our neighbouring countries. What documentation is required please apart from your passport if you are using your own car. ❓

Passport again do u enter France from Germany by car without documents? U guys abroad talks anyhow as If entry into Cameroon is entry into a state in Nigeria..it's another country in central Africa and u need documents to gets there moreover across the border u have fightings going on in south west Cameroon
@ArlinTv
@ArlinTv 2 года назад
Thank you so so much.. You are right it is not really easy to move from one country to another esp Here.. You will need your passport and some licensing documents from Immigration and I think it will be more difficult going with your car because of the plate number difference

@@chrisoghenetegamaloney5799 Actually yes Mainland Europe operates essentially without any formal borders. So you can go to Germany from France without any documentation. Since UK very stupidly left the EU I have to show a passport to get into France but that's it. I can drive through France and a few other countries to Italy no problems. Driving time from Cologne to Manchester takes me about 8/9 hours or less.
