Hey Kevin can I buy this bypass filter system in Australia? I have been looking but can’t find anyone selling this product.if you could help me I would be super grateful.
Good day Install the system need a little bit of info on how to use it properly and more efficiently 1 do I need to run on full synthetic oil? 2 every 25000m do I need to change the oil filter only, or everything? Thank you in advance
Hmm how do you see all that from a oil sample? Just curious to ask? I know all it really tells you is material metals and what not I guess you take the metals and just go about what they come off to see the issues? Even you saying intake restriction how does one sample a oil to see intake restriction? As well as a bad overhead adjustment
I've yet to see someone explain the benefit of this filter head at $600, over a diy filter head at $30. I hear vague ass references to "it removes liquid contaminants". How does it do this? Also, wouldn't you want to know what type of liquid contaminants you have in your oil? How can you diagnose too much fuel or antifreeze in your oil if it's removed by this filter head? I am not trying to say this product doesn't do what it claims, I'm saying I have yet to see anyone explain, or even try to explain, wtf the little heater on top actually does. I'd love to shell out an extra $520 for a filter base if it actually does something useful. Do you have a link to any video or write up that explains, in detail, not salesman jargon, what the electrical part on top does? Or a comparison of an amsoil(or DIY) bypass, compared to this bypass filter? EDIT: an oil analysis comparison.
I used to have it in my volvo and kept it at pristine conditions. Back when this product was owned by ops, it had a lot of info on their website but i have not seen anything since now its owned by pittsburg power
The important thing you left out is what does the filter have in it when it is changed????? The ops people are not to attentive to oncoming phone calls and the prompts are a waste of time always referring back to the gal who doesn't answer the phone... Some people don't like to work
@@cryptoanalysts5793 HEY MIKE, i work at ops , you can call 866-645-7873 or order online at shopops1.com if you have any questions please call us, or follow us on instagram. at OILPUR1
This is so odd, how will this make my engine last longer? Your never changing a filter or changing oil? I’m very curious is there any scientific backing on this? I would like to see some legit testing and proof these systems work, this is just weird to me! Oil breaks down no? No way same oil in there can last this long
It wont make your engine last longer. What it's used for is to stretch out oil changes till the sample says you need to change it. The information sent back from the lab will tell you what materials are gathering in your oil, things like nickel which means a bearing is wearing out or copper which means a bushing or washer is wearing out or silica which is dirt or it will show fuel dilution. The truth is you have to be a mechanic for this system to do what its intended for. I've been a mechanic for 22 years and I'd say if your an owner operator oil changes are cheap maintenance.
@@mattsmith817 So what happens when my oil sample comes back with a higher than normal metal content, nickel or copper? Is the idea to take the engine apart before it gets worse? Or before it damages something else? Got 300k on my ISX 15 CM 871.
@@djgambit4962 at 300k your engine shouldn't have any problems. I run a fleet of 35 trucks, all cascadias with either dd13 or dd15 engines. I use oil sampling to keep me informed of what's going on with each engine I have. Most laboratories will tell you what's going on with your engine based on the findings in your oil sample. In reality if your an owner operator with one truck and you receive results that prove something is wearing out, it really only let's you know your going to have a repair bill in your future and may give you time to set money aside for it.
There is a comment here that says it won't make your engine last longer. That is incorrect. These keep your oil clean, very close to as clean as new oil. Your oil is clean, so it isn't carrying soot, glycol, fuel etc through your engine with the oil. It will definitely make your engine last longer. The proof is when you get your oil sample tested. Test it when you change your oil normally at blackstone or wherever. Then install one of these and test it at that same interval. Oil doesn't break down either, it gets dirty. How do you think oil is recycled when you bring it to autozone? If it's broke down, it would be no good. It's just dirty. They clean and resell it.
