I thought that maybe it will be possible to record some #frippertronics with MOOD MKII. Here is my recording + some thoughts and tips. ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬

So the signal chain is just Telecaster > Mood > Zoom H4n? No amplifier modeling? Incredible!

Correct. Nothing more. Straight from the Mood into the Zoom.

Dude, you rocked all four of these Mood videos, thank you for making all of these.... I swear, towards the last few minutes of this one, it went into a sort of tribal rhythm when you were going all crazy with it, from the 6:00min point all the way thru to the end was KILLER.... The rhythm is perfect right at the 6:30min point, and then the fade could have lasted for another minute (or ten) with those flute like sounds....! When watching the video of you playing in the lush vegetation, right at that peak point, I could imagine a hundreds of little speared men, all in full dress and war-paint, pour out from the trees behind you, all running past you, and right past the main camera POV (in a random fashion).... Sweet, my MKII should be here this week.... =) Rock on my friend, and keep feeling/playing the music exactly like you are doing, a whole bunch of crazy sonic awesome....! Oh, and keep making these MKii vids with new techniques - and don't forget to show the dip switches for a moment with new technique vids.... =)

THANK YOU for your deep comment! I am so very happy that you wanted to write it (not many people want to write long comments nowadays). And your precise analysis - it is simply great. To tell you the truth - this was my second attempt. Even with the small mistake - I thought - why not! I am a human being, and people make mistakes. While I play live I also try to turn mistakes into sth positive. I have a plan to record Habit + Mood, so please stay tuned! But first some short videos from the recent festival (you can check Tangerine Dream I uploaded yesterday).

BTW - have you seen this one? Recorded also in my garden with the Buddha Machine 6 years ago. In winter! After recording I was sick for the next 2 weeks :) I think it was about 0 deg. C in January. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fF3eyiyXb4M.html

I was going to ask your opinion of which of the two pedals Mood MkII or Habit was the better for this kind of music but i think this video answered my question. Can’t afford both so it has to be Mood. ..wow. . Thanks for posting this up. . .where’s the cat LOL

My first Chase Bliss pedal was Habit. (I bought it when they started EU distribution). I think it is great for experiments but you really need a lot of patience with it. The magic starts after the first or second 3 minutes of the internal loop. I record everything to my ZOOM, cause you may be unlucky if you don't catch a sound and it will be impossible to return to it. This is my best PRO-TIP with both Habit and MOOD MKII - record every session. So yes - MOOD MKII is probably better for instant ambient effects.

watching jazz players in the days of my youth I got it very clear: whether the note is right or not depends only on the expression of the player's face) think of getting me this cba mood mk2 (much more interesting for me than the first version)
