Mechabellum is a mech auto battler that I have been meaning to try for a while now but never got around to it. But now it has been fully released out of early access, so I figured this was the perfect time to try it, and I was glad I did. This game is so much fun! I've been really enjoying auto battlers for a long time, probably ever since the old warcraft 3 custom map days with things like caste fight and this is a really well made and polished auto battler.

Just some clarifications for you, you can only purchase two units per round yourself, not including units or upgrades that are offered between rounds. If you click on the towers you can purchase upgrades for all your bots, like increase damage, range of weaponry, speed and defence. You can also pay for an additional recruitment and increased ranks of the units you purchase from the other tower too. You want to keep an eye on movement speeds and try to time your dps units making contact with the enemy after the enemy has begun engaging your chaff. That way they are killing chaff and not your better units. Crawlers tend to be a bit better for chaff than fangs once they get upgrades but very early fangs tend to be slow moving distraction units.

Thanks, that is some very good tips. I had no idea you could buy stuff from the towers. Been trying a couple other runs and always seem to die with too much money on round 8. But I bet some tower upgrades can really make a difference.

@@lazygrouse I think the trick with the survival runs is down to crowd control and getting your units ranks so they don’t die permanently. I tend to play quite turtle like, plenty of chaff out front behind them chaff clearance and tanky units, behind them air craft and high damage units or very fast moving units.

@@lazygrouse this whole game revolves around choices depending on the situation, with mechabellum you need to make the right purchase and decision each round otherwise it can be very punishing with your opponent snowballing very quickly. It can be a very harsh and unforgiving game. Don’t forget you can drop in sentry missiles to just straight up remove (or at least cripple) problem units.

@@jamesruskin992 Yeah, I can tell learning counters to all the units and how they work seems really important to the game.
