I'd still like to see an "on the fly" way of doing it through the web page like hive os. Even though I mostly started on nicehash an still run it on my PC when I get my rings back up and going I'd probably go with hive for the simple fact of control.
I have loaded Ubuntu OS (vs MS WIN 10) and mined. The trick is figuring out how to (1) reduce power, (2) control fan speed and (3) overclocking on the graphics card. Those seem to be issues you had on NHOS as well. You can use MSI afterburner with WIN 10 but I have not figured out how to do it with Ubuntu. I have seen some mentions to an NVIDIA app for Linux, coolbits, etc but I have not figured these issues out. Hope that NH can!
Even when you load Cudominer OS and you use the "usage" control it does not really help control the temp or fan. The Mhs or SOLs go down but I do not think that it is really doing anything to the card.Card is still running full out with wattage high and temps high ... you just get less payout. Controlling the cards power, fan and overclock may be the hardest thing that CudominerOS and NHOS have to deal with unless I am missing something which may be the case.
Well when i remember how i started my mining journey it was on nicehash with my home pc ofc than i add 1 additional 3070 she was standing outside of pc case at desk.🤔 I mine ofc on win10 its the same just log on it and do the benc but in windows you have msi afterburner and nice hash miner for solo operations where you can set algos and chose them which 1 to use or how many. This is i would say a badd copy from windows to linux just blank paper. I been minimg on nice hash like 3 monts than i started to folow you panda and ofc dropp it off 😄 1 thing is in question how stressfull is for the cards to mine on so much diferent algos?

With the new platform roll out today 7/9/2019 - The NHOS is working well on my GTX1070 Rig. Was able to switch from High down to Med Setting w/o error. 5x1070 @60C = DaggerHashimoto: 134.454 MH/s on NHOS Med power settings

Mining on the new platform is disabled until further notice. Miners, please use the current platform and your old address, all your mining payouts are processed on the current platform!
All you need is a breakout board. Really simple, plug the breakout board into the server psu, connect the pcie leads to the board and the gpu's. Then connect the PC psu to the mobo turn them on at the wall and your off!
Would you recommend nicehash os for a 8gpu rig of AMD? I have one rig using Phoenix with win10 and thinking of diversifying. Better to go with win10 instead? OC tuning feels inefficient? Appreciate your input! :)
any linux based mining os is better for amd cards, the card i have cant be set into compute mode by the windows kernel, im setting up with nicehashOS now because my rate of 17-18 SOL is 30 SOL in a linux based operating system,
Does anyone know what to put in when the login and password is prompt on the rig? It says: Nicehash OS 0-EhiPWfdd2UUxxxxx login: then asks you for password???? My Nicehash user and pwd does NOT work
What’s the best OS for overclocking AMD GPU rigs? I was thinking about trying hive OS, Cudo was working fine until I added Radeon VII to RX 570 rig now it’s not recognizing my 570’s and only giving me 67/MHs on ETH with Radeon VII 😪, so now I switched back to Nanominer
hi! Could you maybe make a video about their plugins? My benchmark for 1060 keeps on failing. Right now, i use phoenix miner plugin, i wonder if there is any more profitable plugin and if i have to do it manualy check plugins for my gpu model?
I'll think more features will be available when they launch for real, this is only on their test net so you don't get payed in more than TestBTC/TestETH which arn't real :) Atleast we need a way to set overclocks/undervoltage and fan speed etc. Also need to benchmark a specific algo and mine a specific algo like in NiceHash Legacy Miner. Also like one card mining specific algorithms and one other a whole other algorihms.
do you have to install linux on rig first or is this all you have to do? I just bought everything to build a rig and want to be prepared for when it comes and heard good things about linux over windows 10
@@justinmessenger since nhos is the operating system should be just that. Linux itself is its own operating system. Nhos being Linux based is just stating that it's based off Linus architecture ( or whatever the correct coding term would be)
Nicehash mines most cryptocurrencies and converts their value to bitcoin, which is then deposited to your account. The address you put in the .txt. Could you please just wait 46 more minutes for the payout...
Seems crappy, they need to add a lot more features to be worth using. Just randomly mining whatever it wants to at what ever settings is a little scary. I'd choose windows over this, thats not saying much for it.
I dont recomend this os atm simply because it dont suports cpu mining...even iv i had only rigs, i whould put average amd cpus to every rig and mine withit to...other thing is, you dont have advanced fan controll of the graficcards. But thats nessesary if the algo switches....
as for today nicehash didnt pay me a penny, after i submitted ticket today i got reply, but when i click on read my ticket it will put me in login page and even i log successfully 3 times in row i cant get to support ticket.......so far who nicehash look like dodgy company to me

Goto the actual mining rig and look at the Nicehash program. Install it on your mining rig to get more accurate information and to change the mining location which is done on the actual rig not on the nicehash website. My mining PC is so slow its not anywhere close to profitable...course its also just CPU mining because I found out the graphics card I have won't work for mining, wish I would have known that before I wasted the $80 on the card. Asus Radeon RX-470 4GB card...also found out that the card doesn't work without another power cable. Never have had to have a separate power cable for a graphics card in any machine in the past, must be something about these newer cards requiring far more power than a PCI-E slot will provide.
