Thank you so much for making this video. I am looking for ideas for games to play at Christmas with another player who is visually impaired so it was so helpful. I was already thinking of Rummikub and Bananagrams. I also have a suggestion for you for a game you may not have heard of as it's quite an old game, but still available. The game is Kerplunk. It's a bit similar to Jenga in that you have to try not to make things fall, but it's with marbles. You have a big cylinder in the middle where the marbles go and sticks like knitting needles are placed through it in a criss cross fashion. You then place the marbles on top of the mesh formed by the sticks. You have to take turns pulling out the sticks and trying not to let the marbles fall. I think it might be ok for a visually impaired person as it's very tactile, you can feel the sticks and the weight of the marbles on top of them and hear them moving and falling. If you get the modern version the top is open so you should be able to feel the marbles in there to see how they are lying. There is no reading whatsoever involved. I am pretty sure that someone who is legally blind would be able to play it. It's one of the ones I am thinking of getting as sadly, I do not have it at the moment.

Maxi Aids has brailled Apples to Apples, such a hilariously fun game. Also Dungeons and Dragons is always a great game for everyone, just need tactile dice and a strong imagination.
These are some great games for visually impaired persons. I was thinking of a game that has something to do with music and braille. 😊 Keep up the great work!
Not a board game, but JackBox Games are quite fun and have decent accessibility for screen reader users. Quarantine bonus! Since this is a digital format, this can be played remotely, where participants can play from anywhere they have an internet connection and of course a device (computer, phone, tablet, etc).
I got a game called Snakesss for Christmas and it’s easily accommodated for people who can read and/or see colors. That being said my friend is fully blind and I’m thinking of how I can adapt the game to him. Gonna buy a braille slate and braille the bottom right corner of the card with the answer so he can read it. Also I’m going to braille a skip-bo deck for his birthday.
Thanks so much for making this! I work in software accessibility, and I've found that it's a constant learning process to try to make software that invites everyone to the table with equity. I'd love to hear your thoughts or recommendations for well-implemented online games? I'd like to make our Zoom socials more equitable for everyone, especially our visually impaired team members. I'll be checking some things myself with NVDA and JAWS, but, admittedly, I'm so novice with them by comparison with someone who relies on them daily. (Not to mention, there's always a bit of a sighted bias, unintentional as it might be!) We've had some fun with Google Feud, but, sometimes it's a bit NSFW, and more options would be good!

Have you heard of the game Nyctophobia? It's a game inspired by the visual impairment of the designer's uncle. I wonder what you'd think of it's existence.
