Nicely done. I like doing these types of videos also, and has resulted in listening to stuff I haven't heard in a long time across many genres. Beat Street! Shakin'! EBTG 'Walking Wounded' is a great lp, and Tracy Thorn is such a great singer. Thanks for putting this out there! 😎🎶
For me all you need for Ted Nugent is Double Live Gonzo! Ted back when he was fun in concert and you're right about hearing Ted live is the best way to experience his music. I have a friend who didn't get Motorhead & Slayer until he saw them live! You feel the music live.
I used to carry the cassette of the Beat Street Soundtrack around with me when I was a kid. Never know when you might need to have a breakdance battle.
Mediocre rapper hahahha. That's putting it lightly. I remember hearing Tone on radio when I was a kid. No way I could stomach listening to that guy now. I give you credit. Great video.
Tone Loc Wow what a blast from the past, Funky Cold Medina lol 😅, Got that on vinyl. Just last week I picked up Run DMC on a used Mofi. Takes me back. If u like Stewart Copeland's talents u should look for his solo post Police work. Oh and look for this syc shoe gaze electric dual called Moon Dual. Very cool stuff I just got turned onto.
Thanks my friend! I'll check out that Moon Dual. For some reason I feel like I've heard that before.. Yeah, that Tone Loc is classic. I actually pulled out the vinyl and was gonna spin it but before I got to my stereo something told me...oh no, you gotta grab the cassette lol. Maybe it's because that is how I grew up with album I guess.
Nice pull on The Police ✌️ I got one for you potentially man.pull out 10-20 random or otherwise records and simply tell where you got them from 😂 I'm only half kidding. I used to remember where each and every piece of my collection came from.now there are some that escape me.. always cool to see you
Ha ha! I so wish I had inherited some from parents lol. There are two major things I'm thankful for in regards to my collection. I got INSANELY into records long before this resurgence happened. about 15 years ago I was looking for records 10 times as much as I do now. ...and back then it was common place to go into a store with $50 and come out with 23 AMAZING albums lol. I would think it was crazy to think about paying $10 for used album lol, but some of my best grails today were those $10 albums I bought. The second thing is that I have been able to help at at two record stores over the past 7 years and I only work for store credit so that has also been a great thing with getting new albums. Very lucky in that sense.
I received my long-overdue complimentary copy of that Tone Loc album 2018 reissue - check out my video on it! Thanks for reminding me of Chris Stapleton, I put in for a comp copy of that too. And def heavy on some 90s classics here, Mr. B!
