I'm State licensed Master Electrician and have been an Electrucal contractor since 1981. There are a couple things I would have done differently , but the goal is ALWAYS , Safety , protection of physical wiring, , overload and short circuit protection . " The installation shall be neat and workmanlike " ( NEC code book text ) from what I can see here , your installation meets this criteria and I must say it is better than most home handyman installs I've seen. Good job Brock! pc
When I read the first part of that I thought I was about to get ripped… Thanks for the kind words. I am No electrician but I wanted to do a good job, especially with it being mounted outside
LED'S are amazing! I replaced a dual incandescent bulb light in my kitchen with an LED light. Now you can actually see what you are doing AND it uses a fraction of the electricity.
My 350 watt solar streets light came in today. At Amazon > Solar Street Light 350W, 20000LM IP67 Waterproof Solar Motion Sensor Lights, Dusk to Dawn Solar Flood Lights with Remote Control for Yard, Path, Garage, 2 Pack < Oh Lord there huge and heavy to. Only way i got to mount them is 4"x4"x12' long treated wood post. That all Lowes here got. 🤬 I was wanting some fence post to make them 15' in the air. but now > 10' in the air with 2' in the ground ~ Got to do what a person can do
I was shocked. It actually lights up all the way to our back door where I had been meaning to install a porch light Thanks for watching and enjoy the holiday
They really are that bright so I might end up getting a second one for the other end of my building If you order, make sure to click my link so I can get my $1.73 commission…. Happy holidays my friend
Yeah, I have a pole light that I pay a monthly fee to the electric company for. That light is 50 yards away and is completely drowned out by this light
I dearly love a Quonset hut over a metal build. 1.There prefabbed 2.Easy to assemble 3. one of the strongest metal buildings you can buy. With stand winds up to 200 mph. You must spray foam the inside, for insulation
I kind of agree with you. Especially for a building like this but I didn’t build it. I called it at affordable because it lights up half my property, it’s hardwired to a pole and should last basically forever It’s 1000 times brighter than the yard light the electric company put out for me
@@RockhillfarmYT That there sun cell light. There nice and not as bright. I took all of mine down! Cause 5 of them was burning 25 dollars a month >>> just for 1 >> Reason i'am going to solar. Cause of no electric bill > FREE ENGERY 👏👏👏👏

Yeah, this is not a solar light so it is going to use a fair bit of electricity being on all night. It’s worth it for me because it lights up half of the property. There are solar options that won’t increase your bill but they won’t be as bright either.
Great video Brock. Where did you get the pole from and what size? U might have missed that somewhere… Thanks for the awesome content, I get a lot of ideas from watching your channel:)
There is a metal fabrication shop 5 miles from my house. They sell raw materials like that I think it was 2 1/2 inch diameter and 12 feet long and paid $30 or $40 for the pipe but I don’t remember for sure The light cost a couple hundred dollars and illuminates half the property so I’ve been happy with it
@RockhillfarmYT I would like to have seen the efficiency of the light. The coverage. The whole purpose of why one would put such a light up to begin with. What it accomplished. What it's capable of. Listen, do what you want. It's your channel. Maybe for others, your video is exactly what they was looking for. But I'm not gonna lie, I have yet to find a single vid on high powered flood lights where someone showed what one was fully capable of doing when it comes to providing a ton of light at night. Which is ultimately why anyone wants one to begin with, right? I just want to know if I put one up, would it flood my garden with enough light to garden at midnight when it's much cooler in the summer. What do you think? Would it? 🤔
