Confirmed with a member of a drag family. "They use one or two turbos. Either big singles or smaller compound turbos. Even stock trucks with a tune can be competitive. A 200’ race means you gotta be quick on the light and a slow truck can beat a fast one."
WWPTV I can confirm that a slow truck can be fast! I’m the guy in the white Powerstroke at around the 11:23 mark. I was the ONLY manual truck in the class, and one of the very few with less than 500hp (made 474/929 on the dyno that day) but the only races that my truck has ever lost is because of breakage (only ever happened twice, and once was the day in this video) and it’s won many events. So to anyone reading this, don’t be afraid to enter!
