As an aspiring actress hoping someday to do just that kind of thing, Letitia Wright is such an inspiration to me. Overwhelming talented, humble, outspoken about her faith, and just striving every day to do and be her best. I know she said she hoped to be an inspiration and she has done just that, to young and old, dark and light, all sorts of people. This clip just gives me even more respect for her as an actress than I had before.
i just got emotional looking at the little girls ask her questions. i'm a big baby and i love the inspiration the characters are giving to the younger generation.
Kyle Alford she was born in Guyana and lived there for 8 years then moved to London England where she grew up... therefore its from Gyana to GMA so Kyle you get it right.
Vernedi You're the one who's so pressed. If there's anyone who has an inflated ego, it's you. And since you want to bring up my identity, let me tell you something. You just can't stand the fact that a black teenage girl is smarter than your faves. How pitiful. While you're busy hating, I'm gonna continue enjoying Shuri and her vital role in this film. Bye!
season 2 remember she's a girl who is so badly suffering from depression she tries to act like a synth so she cant feel . she is a friend of the main families son . Do you remember her now , I'm so happy someone else is actually watching humans its amazing :)
its amazing how those e4 shows like humans, the end of the fucking world and before that skins find young british talent out of nowhere . I hope she comes back for season 3 of humans ,it will be amazing to see what happens in the story with every synthethic conscious
yeah season 3 is commissioned . its like mr robot (go see it ). great show that has a cult following but isn't a house hold . sure I remember watching peaky blinders season 1 and 2 weren't watched by many others then they added to the cast and marketed more in the US
joecruz His specialty is in biology, which in Visions case isn't as helpful as Shuri's tech prowess. Also Vision is made out of vibranium.... that's kinda her thing...
ummm...Did anyone forget Blade??? Blade was the First Marvel Superhero who actually saved the Marvel Studio quite literally. So, the "First" black major superhero is actually Blade, not Black Panther. Thank you
im glad the Shuri archetype is so widely embraced now. i identify with her the closest (Badass Quippy Techie Girl) and growing up some people made me feel like a freak, since i dont fit the ideal housewife archetype.
the peeps that thought he would die just are not up to speed on the Avengers comic lore. Vision being a LONG time and regular member of the team keeps him safe, Kevin Feige and the Russo's and everyone at Marvel are big fans of the comics and they have too much respect for the character to kill him off after he was just created in Age of Ultron ya know? He's only been in less than 1/2 of the two movies he was involved in lol he's gonna stick around for awhile.
X-Men and Blade wasn't still inside of the MCU at this point. However, that will change soon: in the Comic-con, Marvel announce a new Blade movie and with Disney buying Fox, they have now the rights to bring the X-Men into the MCU.
Even worse being in the house of mouse, she is embodying everything wrong with entitled youths of today. Hard to like her. She will fit right in with the Disney Channel crowd.
My wife Letitia wright is so amazing I love her hair it looks amazing that pink look beautiful on her happy New year to my wife Letitia wright from me and happy anniversary to my wife Letitia wright from me xoxo to her from me
You're telling me War Machine (Rhodey) and The Falcon (Sam Wilson) are lame? Have you been living under a rock? And hell, how about Nick Fury? Just because T'challa has his own movie doesn't make him the first black superhero. (By the way, I'm a huge Black Panther fan, but my other boys deserve some credit also)
She's designed AI systems though and presumably that's the aspect she's commenting on, not necessarily the biological functions of the android. She has one in _Black Panther_ and then the prelude comic for _Infinity War_ that features her explains how she's been advancing her systems with experience and knowledge she gained from working on deprogramming the Winter Soldier. It's like peer review; scientists scrutinize each other's work and projects all the time and often it ends up that they have a valid point that forces the scrutinized researcher/researchers to go back to the drawing board or reconsider something, even if they're the ones who actually made a breakthrough in working on the project. It's not bad writing, it's literally just the nature of the field.
OMG Did none of you see Age of Ultron? Vision is made with lots of vibranium. That's partly why Shuri knows what she knows and says what she says. Do your research!
Yass girl! Take those stupid idiots Bruce Banner and Vision to school! I love how Shuri is WAY smarter than every other genius-level character combined ... AND she's woke!!! #yassqueen #slay
Fuck her. Arrogant stuck up Feminazi bitch that has to belittle others to show how "smart" she is. If that's what "woke" people are like then woke people are scumbags.
Shuri is smart in the comics, she has a genius-level intellect. T'Challa is equally as smart. But, I don't really agree with how OP is calling Bruce and Vision idiots considering they're also extremely smart and all of them are just pitching ideas around which is what we want. We want these characters to work together instead of showing that they're better than each other.
Hate this trend of having women criticize a guy in a movie to show they're smarter instead of just writing a scene that shows her intelligence in her own right. They do it in action movies too where a guy gets saved and the girl is like "You're welcome." Again, just write a scene that shows a woman being capable without belittling someone else.
You see that as her critizing him? She was offering a different perspective, why didn't you see it as constructive criticism instead? I have to laugh because for years and even now men do this to women all the time and it's accepted yet when the shoe is on the other foot people get defensive. You should ask yourself why you feel that way, it's really telling.
Blade has NEVER been a superhero. He's a vigilante and anti-hero. That's why no one puts him in the superhero category. Plus, he's a freakin vampire who murders (he kills other vampires but in a murderistic way).
scene only shows that writers, reviewers and the silly simpletons who like it dont know how to science. Scene doesnt make Shuri look smart, it makes Banner look dumb or lazy. If he knows what she is talking about then he didnt just 'not think of it'. If we are supposed to believe Banner is one of the smartest people alive and he knows what she is talking about then he should have had a reason for not doing it. we were in a hurry? we didnt have the resources? the risk was too great? in this silly scenes attempt to make Shuri appear smart, it only makes her look smart to ignorant people....which i guess is the target audience. So bravo MCU, you know your viewers.
Is it that big of a problem this black and white color thing in america? Kind of sad I guess. Personally I don't see the difference. Just humans all. Peace ✌️
I wonder if people will react the same way when they finally get the rights to fantastic 4 and Reed takes them all to school. I would really like shuri is she wasn't annoying I had the same problem with Peter they did a really good job making the fifteen year olds or younger characters so annoying that I almost don't like them until they do something cool. But difference between her and Peter is Peter isn't a flawless princess that insults people like in this scene. Like she does realize he can hulk out and rip her in half right? Or if Tony was there? Lol he'd be like ok you make another vision and I'll have cap throw his shield at you an I'll blast at you while you work and we'll have hulk rip all your shit apart like Quicksilver did and we'll see if you have time to think about those things. He's deal with her snobbiness just like he did with Peter's if you're nothing without vibranium and your lab you don't deserve them. Put her in a cave and see what she can do then. Give her some sort of test to earn the right to talk to someone who's saved the Earth 3 or 4 times like that. But you can't because she's a girl, Peter can get put through the ringer, have tons of moments he screwed things up, get his suit taken to prove he's earned it and she'll get what more scenes to be a snob to other characters?
I like the Reed Richards shoutout. He can take everybody to school. Stan Lee himself has said that the most intelligent Marvel character is Reed Richards (scientifically).
RickyTicky Bobbywobbin easily like if the people who've only seen the films they have no idea because every Reed by fox didn't even come close to showing off his intellect. But my issue with shuri is she feels more like a Disney princess than the shuri I know from the comics. Like she might be smart but she's still under twenty there is no way she should have the balls to talk to Bruce like that
"first black superheroes" She either does not know her stuff, given talking points from Disney and ABC? Remember Disney owns both Marvel and ABC, or is she just lying to play up the marketing? Uhm...didn't Cyborg already appear before Black Panther? Then there is Blade, Halley Berry as Storm (and Catwoman), Michael B Jordan in Fantastic Four, and several others. Not to mention several interations of intelligent black people in supporting roles (who often form pivotal parts of the movie and success of the titled hero).
BaldManLogan yes it would just with a different actor. Rdj is great as Tony stark but that doesn't mean a 100 other great actors couldn't do a great job
