Letitia Wright AKA Shuri from the Black Panther Wakanda Forever Movie sits down with SamaTime to discuss her trip to Ghana, Cultural Similarities between Guyana and Ghana and more.
This is how an interview is done. Such indept questions. Ps. Guyana's formal language is British English because we were colonized by them, then we have creole which is a mixture of words and phrases from the six ethnic groups- Amerindian, European, African, East Indian, Portuguese and Chinese. The Amerindians also have their own languages, the tribes are Carib, Wapisiana and Wai Wai. Those living closer to the borders speak Spanish and Dutch as well. It's truly a cosmopolitan country. Proud to be a Guyanese 🇬🇾. Thanks Ms. Wright for representing.
I am super happy for this comment because it explains so much and many others can read it and have an idea about Guyana even more. Thank you for taking the time to educate us. Many blessings to you 🙏🏼💖💖💖
@@SamaTime12 Big up yourself Sama what a lovey young girl you are keep doing what your doing keep learning, reading being curious and own your space. Maybe you can interview me who knows what the future holds be blessed Keep enjoying Ghana. Maybe interview some Ghanaian celebs? Or Ghanian young people doing great things in Ghana that would be dope.
One of the best interview I’ve seen in a long long time. The questions were really good and Tish answers were really good. No force, no fakeness, just pure vibes.
I'm beginning to realise Lettia is one of those exceptional human beings. She just oozes wirh greatness, kindness and compassion. She is honing her craft and lending her voice to the next generation how cool was this interview Sama will no doubt rise up to be one of the greats in her field if you go by this interview. I just love how Lettia just puts Sama at ease not patronising but listening with intent and purpose. Love how she praised her at the end. Love how her mum just packed up and moved to Ghana Sama will continue to thrive in a country where you are not defined by Skin colour but seen as a human being and contributor to society.
🥲🥲🥲 thank you so much for your encouragement and kind words. I thank you for watching and enjoying the interview. Many blessings to you and your family 🙏🏼💖
@blessedcaleon I am very appreciative when Ghanaians correct me in a peaceful way, since I'm learning more about my heritage/culture as a Ghanaian. Medasse 🙏🏼💖💖💖
Hearing you guys use the foreign accent to say some local words is cool and somewhat funny at the same time😊 I'm happy y'all finding your roots and coming back home to your Motherland. Ghana got you🤞🏽❤️🇬🇭
These are the most unique questions, Sama! Loved this interview, and we definitely got to see a new side of Letitia for the first time, thanks to you. Keep up the great work!
It will be beautiful if Sama and Letitia staying in connection to continue to improve some from the Guyana language and culture, and because of their both beautiful souls. It will be a beautiful elevating friendships !!! ✨💎✨🌸
Awesome interview. Open and honest. I pray for you both my young princesses. In Jesus name, I cover you both. You will sore even to greater heights. Blazing a trail of godly truth and purity. Stay grounded. I am proud of you both.
The Bronx is a special place ,almost a country of its own , some of the greatest to ever do it came from the Bronx and let the world know , Right on time with Sama time is a product of this special region of the world One deserving of its singular shout out all its own .The Bronx New York has blessed us with Right on time with Sama Time . The real mike Wilson has spoken
Fantes name their Sunday born girls Esi and the Asantes name their Sunday born girls Akosua Its more a tribal and language thing, but they have the same meaning though cos the Fantes and the Asantes all fall under the same umbrella of people called the Akans so their languages are very similar. And yes, Ghana has about 80 different languages and so many ethnic groups all found in a single country almost at the center of the world 🌎
Hey I just came across your channel. You got a new subscriber. ❤❤❤ I’m also a Ghanaian but left the country in 2017 to Germany 🇩🇪 and I’m already in love with what you’re doing. Keep it up queen 👸🏽
Guyana and Ghana has some shared history. During the transatlantic slave trade some of the slaves taken to Guyana were from Ghana. They were from the Akan tribe.
We also have similar foods. Those include Garri which is called farine in Guyana and prepared differently. Kenkee( not sure if i spelt it right) which is similar to our conkie. We also eat alot of rice like the Ghanaians, ground provision (plantain, cassava, yam), bean stew but we called it peas stew and fish stew just to name a few.
Let me tell yall something sama not telling, shes as much a fan as we are and when she does these interviews these are actually her movie stars come to life before her very eyes
Is like she’s always waiting at the airport to catch e’m 😂 great interview, I suggest you get a wireless mic that you can hoot to the dress instead of holding that, that way you will all feel relaxed and comfortable. You doing great keep it up.
3:48 yall missed that - wright checked her for not mentioning the country her mom was from so she moved sama time to have to reveal the country "st thomas" .
@@iheartbasketball4749 sama Did not reveal the country in the islands and wright double backed on it and asked her the name of the country - why would sama intentionally leave out the country name - it wasnt an acci3
The Fanti’s name the girl Sunday Borns Esi and the Ashanti’s name the Sunday Borns Akosua so that’s how come you both Sunday Borns but different names 😊Ghana has 49 dialects , if I’m not exaggerating. One of the best interviews I’ve watched 😊😊
3:42 anyone from the Bronx is from the Bronx and you stand on that noone gets credit for places where their parents are from Sama Time - you got it correct the 1st time " im from the Bronx" .and lets leave it at that
I disagree with your opinion, there are a lot of people who aren't born in a country but still claim heritage from their parents. It's a respect for one's lineage that some people don't disregard as she has made it clear that she doesn't disregard her family lineage.
@@SamaTime12 Im no comic book guy, but on a powerscale catwoman would be above such characters as batman/ironman as neither of them have supernatural powers and catwoman do. black panther acquires supernatural powers by magic+technology, catwoman gets them only from magic. but, nine lives is pretty dope.
I am a Ghanaian. I was born in the states and have returned to Ghana to learn more about my culture. I appreciate my culture and while I'm not perfect, I do my best to teach others so we can all learn together. 🙏🏼💖
