The cradle material was probably specified as a composite to provide a thermal break. There are many composites that have insulating properties. One composite that is readily available is wood. A nice bit of hardwood such as rosewood, ebony, rock maple, etc would look great. You don't need any special tools, very hard woods can be worked in the same way as aluminum. You can sometimes tap threads in wood, but I'd glue in a threaded brass insert. Nice model so far, thanks for sharing.
Multumesc prieteni! Nu am avut prea mult timp săptămâna aceasta ... așa că nu există prea multe explicații. Am lucrat la asta până acum ... Un weekend frumos !!!! (Google Translater... ;) )
Looks good! I would recommend using something other than brass for the boiler cradles unless you plan to insulate them. They will transfer a lot of heat to the chassis.
.... yes.... i am still learning to use all theese Audio, Video, cutting Software... and this time i was really out of time and late...! Sorry for that.... but i will be better next time! Thanks for watching! Nice Weekend!
The mark or "center-punsh" has alsways high spots around. (On mild material) that can cause the Drill dance around the Center... in small drillings) its to prevent from that....
When are you continuing your Decauville series? I've done most of it on my own build but I don't know how to put everything together, as it doesn't say in the instructions.
Ti seguo sempre ammiro le persone che come te non fanno uso di macchine a controllo usi molto bene la lima ,peccato che hai interrotto la costruzione della Decauville .
