Would you be willing to share your monthly (or weekly) budget (including the eating out and all)? Just have really wondered cause I notice you eat out very often and have always thought about what a breakdown of the costs would be.

Eating out is so affordable in Japan ~ at least where I live ! I definitely eat out a ton - it’s mostly to save time bc I can be working vs cooking. And it’s really affordable to eat out .... usually $6-10 USD a meal I probably eat one meal out a day 😭😭😭

@@heratlas Agreed! When I visited I recall ramen was quite cheap even in places like Tokyo, which kind of blew my mind considering its such an awesome, hearty dish!

I found a bunch of Ramon and soba noodles at the grocery store and I was so excited I was like yes that’s what my her atlas eats then I looked at the salt and carb and it was so high 38 carbs and 700 grams of salt how are people in Japan so healthy and in shape ? Please explain am so curious about homemade Japan soups

late but...Curel we do have in the state but in Japan there seems to be a bigger variety. I have used their Intensive moisture care - facial cream, feels nice and it is not super thick but it moisturizes well.

the skincare brand Curel is recommend to people with dry sensitives skin. Ive never used their skincare products before but I use curel's sunscreen and its good. You can use it for babies and it doesnt irritates my sensitive skin.

I just watched a video on ice farming in Japan yesterday and they say the shaved iced in the kakigori is from those ice farms.

It was just a short video. It was from NHK World Japan. The title was Time-tested Creations: Cold as ice. (i had to look for it on their channel 😅) yeah it was cool but it was just a short video. I searched youtube for a documentary on it but I couldn't find one.

A lot of places sell shaved ice but not all places use ice farms. Some use frozen tap water.

Yes it’s soooo hot!! I’m so stupid and wore a sweater outside which is why I was basically sweating 😅😅😅😅 I did eat the bamboo 🥳 they were delicious!

Caitlin, you have been very busy having fun. Its hard to keep up with you. Did you know that you have a very beautiful voice. You should do some Voice Over work in English. Female voices dominate the English-language announcements on the subways and trains in Japan. Maybe do voice over for TV Commercial, maybe an Anime Character. By the way, I would like to see more cooking video.

The intense moisture cream (face moisturizer - white cap with a blue line) and the moisture cream (body moisturizer - solid blue cap) are my favorites. The toner and milk moisturizer are nice to use as well.
