(QUICK PATTERN) CROCHET MESSANGER BAG! all stitches are single crochet i think Front and back panel = 34 x 37 (x2) Sides = 34 x 9 (x2) Side pockets = 8 x 11 (x2) Bottom = 9 x 37 (x1) Little front = 11 x 16 (x2) Front pocket flaps = 13 x 7 (x2) Big pocket = 27 x 34 (x1) Small straps = 5 x 43 (x2) Long strap = make to ur preferred size! (x1)
The tutorial isn't made to be "beginner " friendly ig. It's in sc showing how to do all the parts would be boring. Personally, I am not advanced in crochet. However, this tutorial was fine. It gave the - mesuare, the materials, and the overall issues you could face. The only down part was the lack of information regarding the sewing and lining.
I got inspired by this so I made a pattern that’s fairly easy to make because of repetition. I’m probably going to make a it first and test run it before sending it out on my other account
this is sooo cute, i was looking for a messenger bag tutorial but i couldnt find the one i wanted bc they werent the style i was looking for, but this ons is great! i love it!!
FAQs!! Hello Everyone! First off thank you for all of the love on this video. It is one of my first tutorials so I apologize for all of the confusion. Anyway here are some FAQs that I have seen. Hopefully this clears everything up and let me know if I missed anything!!! Measurements: Overall the bag is 30cm long, 20cm wide, and 8cm thick. Hook size: 5mm Yarn: Red Heart Super saver yarn in the color Coffee and Buff. You will need around 200yds of the main color (coffee) and around 50-80yrds for the secondary color (Buff) What does it mean 34sc X 37sc? sc stands for single crochet. Meaning that is the number of stitches I did across and the number of rows I did. For example, the front and back is made by chaining 37 and single crocheting 37 across until you have 34 rows! (sorry if this was really confusing for some reason I thought this would make more sense then putting in actual measurements...however that is not the case). How long is the strap? Around 2 1/2 ft long but I ended up tying a little not at the top to make it shorter but I'm also a really short person so do with that what you will!!
@ariella2658 Yes, I did finish it. It looks really good👍🏾 but I made the mistake of steam blocking before i put it together so it's not as rigid as hers in the video. Also when I made the side pockets, they ended up being way smaller so I didn't include them. The design is very good😊
This is a pretty good tutorial on showing the single crochet and stuff! Sewing might be confusing for me.. but I’ll try! Thanks for the tutorial and keep up the good work! ❤
2:35 ok you see how they all say a number on each rectangle example the first big one 34 sc x 37 sc 34 is how many rows going --> right and 37 is how many chains you need so hear is the pattern for the first one Make two -row 1]slip knot and ch 38 (you need an extra chain because when you crochet in to the second chain from hook you would have one less chain) - row 2-34] sc 37 chain one and turn your work (37) - fasten off and to be safe a long-ish tail 😂 And repeat for the other rectangles but change the number for the specific thingy I hope this helps because I’m not to share about it because I’ve only been crochet for like les than a year Also sorry if I make you waste yarn😅
THIS IS SO GOOD!! I've been dying to find a messenger bag tutorial, this was really helpful but do you have a tutorial in depth like the count of stiches? or do you sell the patterns anywhere?
@@illummise8436hahaha I kinda wish I read your reply before starting , I read it as 24 rows of 27 stitches. I know it will be the same size but I prefer horizontal lines rather than the vertical stripes
if you still remember, do you think you can give out the chain number(s) for each part?? also , do you think you could show how to do the white part of the design ?? this bag looks cute btw
I don't understand the 34 sc x 37 sc I understand the sc as single crochet but how many chains should I make and how many rows? Same goes for the sides, side pockets, bottom, little front, front pocket flaps, big pocket, small straps and long strap
@@Huimangi i guess so cause the side says 34 x 9 so of course it can't be 9 rows it has to match the front and back panel so 34 is common in both so i guess 34 rows and 37 chains and for sides it is supposed to be 34 rows and 9 chains +1 chain in each part for turning
For me it took around a week and I'm a full time student and I have a part time job. But I've also been crocheting for years. I hope this kind of puts it into perspective for you
@@saravilawan Oh I understand, I'm actually planning to crochet for my school project and thankfully, my teacher gave a long time to finish the product, thank you so much for this tutorial!.
Hi, this is such a beautiful bag! I was just wondering what ply of wool you used? I am going to make it and am just interested as to what you used. Thanks, this is stunning!!
Judging by the way some of the pieces curl, I doubt it. Since it's single crochet, I doubt blocking would be of too much use. Though correct me if I'm wrong. I've only really seen blocking suggested for pieces with looser, prettier stitches that become more defined when blocked, or when a piece isn't the best shape it could be for what it's intended for.
Hi sara Actually I am planning to make this kawaii bag but the problem is i donno which crochet stitch you have used...like lemon stitch, star stitch and etcs.. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHICH TYPE OF STITCH IS THIS?
Hi, amazing bag pattern, if u don’t mind me asking do u yarn over or yarn under for the single crochets? I used a smaller hook and mine still doesn’t like right
I feel a little stupid bc idk how to read the sizes like is the rows first or is the column first also sorry if calling them rows and columns isn’t correct idk the correct words for them
2:50 could you explain what you mean when you talk about what order you sewed the pieces together? are you referring to not sewing the pockets beforehand as being the loose ends, or the attachment to the bag? I’m working on this and I’m curious what order would be best.
she means that when sewing the little pockets onto the big pockets (the front) that you should sew the little pockets onto the big pocket before you attach the big pocket to the front panel, that way you dont accidently sew the big pocket closed when your sewing the little pockets to the big pocket, hope this made sense lol
its not specified but i made a chain of 10 and built up the thickness to my liking, then lengthened the strap to however long i wanted by making more rows

in all honesty, i really don’t think so. But you can tamper with the amount of chains & rounds you have to do, keeping the same aspect ratio. Good luck!
I don't get something. The big pocket is for the front side of the bag? and then the other front pockets are on top of the big pocket? I would appreciate if someone could help me;((
