Hi everyone!! Just to clear things up a little bit. We are comparing the Optum 300 to my puma 240cvx. Absolutely not the 1050. That's in a completely different class of tractor. Oh.....and yes.... I NEED A HAIRCUT 😂😂😂 thanks for watching everyone 😀 Jonny
Yep, she's a beauty alright. Like the sound of variable travel on the pedal for more controlled yard shunting. Anyway, I'm new round here. Name's Joe from Featherstone, that's about 4 miles from Castleford (but with a better rugby team). I've watched George Saunders, Funky Farmer, various blokes, but I'm a big fan of your approach, mate. Very informative stuff, delivered with great passion for the work you do. I'm in the middle of back watching all your videos and have learned so much more about how stuff works than from anybody else so far, for which I thank you, hugely. Hey, Jonny, have you heard this one... There was a farmer from Huddersfield, who had a cow that wouldn't yield. The reason why it wouldn't yield, it didn't like it's udders feeled!!! Keep up the good work, and I look forward to all your future uploads. Thank you.
I recognise that road! I used to live in Epworth and took that back road a number of times! Small world, love the vids! Will give you a bip n a wave next time I’m down that way!
Hi Jonny. We’ve got an optum 300. November 17. Done 3500 hours. Had a few issues early on but settled in well lad that drives it likes it. It pulls well but the gear box makes a racket cabs dated and noisy for a tractor in this class. But ok. You’re right about the 930. Are 939 is a flying machine. The optum is actually taller than the fendt. Nice video nice to see you back nice 👍 it’s a nice tractor 🚜 nice. We’re going to get another one ☝️
Hiya my mate! Yes I completely agree, the CVX transmission wines more than my Mrs 😂 and with a flagship tractor like that, I really would of expected case to update the cabs and the cab suspension. They've obviously used a lot of shared parts to possibly keep the cost down, so yeah I agree. It's inherently a good tractor, but it doesn't set the world on fire. It's just a beefed up puma. Which pulls very well indeed 🙂
Beautiful bit of kit Jonny made up for you lets hope there will be one heading your way to enjoy. as for the irrigation video thats been some thing i have asked for back when i first joined your channel so TWO big grubby thumbs up from me lol.
YOOOO Johnny !!!!!! She is unreal …...Nose of a Transformer Helmet and the grunt of a Bull on Steroids!!! BUT SHE AIN'T NO STARSHIP 1050 lol!!!! Keep safe pal !
Another quality video mate...keep em coming👍🏻 we are awaiting the delivery on a new optum🤩 I currently pull a 4.8 metre topdown behind a 315hp magnum...and that struggles on some of our land...so that’s pretty impressive with a 7 metre topdown👏🏻...the optum 300 is coming to pull our 6 metre vaderstad drill 💪🏻
Great video Jonny. She's a lovely looking tractor on the outside, I think it's a shame Case havnt revamped the cab. John Deere did it and are better for it. I agree case build quality is better than new Holland.
Hello my mate! Completely agree on the cab front! I thought with a flagship tractor like that, they would have updated the cab. Bit of a shame really, especially the cab suspension. That's was disappointing. Would we ever see you driving a red one at all? To be fair, when I sat in a few NH cabs I was pretty surprised that I liked the layout, it all falls nicely to hand.
@@Jonny1388 if i was the man paying the bills we would have red. I had a few on demo when i was contracting, have liked them ever since. Cant knock the new holland to be fair, every thing is nicely to hand. it does everything i ask of it.
Right most importantly. New vape. What did u do to ur old one🤣. Great video nice to see u finally got ur hands on one. Contractor down the road has had one for a couple of years and the love it (despite early teething problems) one thing I noticed was it's about time cnh gave us a decent front wiper.
Great video chap and the optum looks like a fair bit of kit. Being a tweaked 240 engine what was it like on fuel as my experience regardless of makes is that top of the line tweaked tractors do pull like a train but they normally seem to chew way more fuel than a mid range machine as they are constantly working at the limit rather than in their comfort zone
Hi Jonny absolutely brilliant video o the red beast💪💪 it sure looked to be just out for a walk in the park wi that top down👍 do u think honestly that maybe in the work u do u need that extra 200 hp in that green donkey 🤔😂 glad to see the wildlife gettin an extra few weeks in the hedge .... sorry hair 🤣🤣🤣 hope family doin good keep up the great work 💪💪💪 cheers m8
Hiya buddy!! 😀 Yeah we need that extra power. We have got strong land that really pulls the 1050 down when we're working at depth. We need something that can cope with absolutely everything that's thrown at it. And when we're covering so much ground we need that extra productivity the 1050 gives us. The Optum would be a replacement for the 240...but that's all up for debate at the moment, no idea what will happen in the future. Haha!! Just doing my bit for conservation! Lol 😂😂
Great to see the equipment in transport mode too. Gives us an idea how you get about the country roads with them. Really great explanation on the throttle response. Made a lot of sense. And that's a small forest hanging from your mirror. BTW, when you have front weights and wheel weights on the tractors, do they affect the fuel consumption rate? Great video 👍👍👍
Hi Jonny is great to see you again great video nice piece of machinery 👌🏻but I wouldn't trade it for the 1050 though 😋 I hope you'll get to try out the new Fendt 900 series sometime 😎 hope All is going well for you and your family have a great day ✌🏻
I drive new holland's and I'm with you Jonny, the case armrest is better but I do like the nh hand controller. If only you could have the option when buying them new. Have you pulled that topdown with the puma?
Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down ya hair! 😂, seriously, I chop mine off and you grow it! You'll be beating herbert at the pace 😂. Well the case looks a fair machine! I always wonder if the ride is worse or not with a short chassis 😕
Seen one at a dealer the video do it no justice for size im use to being around 140hp and less we have a 120hp tractor ive seen video on thease but that one up in newyork was a monster
Now then stranger long time no see hope life bin treating you well the tractor looks a the beast but it not a Jonny tractor it not clean enough lol enjoyed the video same as ever so take care mind how you go 😊
Great video mr jonny, hope all is well, been trying to get in contact with you with an update but cant seem to get through to you on fb, i lost your number so couldnt text it to you mate
You can still select manual mode with a button. I use manual mode in combination with a spader in the back because when you rev up more the spader will spin faster and you will drive faster. And when you come up to a headland you lower the revs and you will slow down and the spader will spin slower. That way the spader will spin as fast as you need to for the speed you are driving, so the spader never spin to fast or to slow for the speed you are driving. In this application a clutch is very usefull for backing up in the corners of a field.
The T7 315 and the Optums are the same tractor underneath, they are all part of the CNH brand. It would be interesting to see how I get on with the different cab layout of the newhollands though. 🙂
@@Jonny1388 good to hear ! Our farm had a fendt 718 demo the other week and was head and shoulders above anything else I've driven . We have nh and I have a massey that I'm hopefully upgrading to either a 722 or 724 fendt 👌
I would say that's the dealers fault not the tractor to be honest Oliver. The turning circle on the one I had on demo was spot on. They adjust the steering stops for transportation, maybe they never set them up before the tractor went out on demo?
It managed it just fine. I had it set at a proper depth, there wasnt any need to shallow it up. The land I was on was pretty easy going to be honest, some strong patches really did pull it down. If there were hills and strong land involved it would be a different story. Though it just shows how well this tractor pulls....it really is a great draft machine.
Jonny 1388 dang, that”s impressive! We have a john deere 9560RT on our 7M one and we go about 25-32 cm deep, And i live in sweden so it”s tough soil, So i couldnt really believe it😂 well it was a great video!
