For some reason she's taken an interest in this particular tractor....but at least she is light hearted about the problems being uncovered. Thanks for the nice comment Gator.
The Mrs add’s a special touch to your video. She brings information and a way of addressing the subject that makes it interesting. She is candid and a great addition and wealth if information. You make a good team and with her help you could make longer videos with more details. We like watching you at work having fun.
Thanks Richard for the kind words about the Missus. She's pretty good to have around I agree. One thing about it, she loves to learn about different things. Thanks for the visit today !!
when you and the Misses are working together. It always gives me a smile. Great She is interested in what you do. Fingers crossed there not must rust inside. Tell you Wife I said hello. Has always my friend, I liked and shared. All my very best to all.
I'll pass the salutation my friend....I am glad you enjoy the videos with the Missus visiting the shop. It's a lot of fun hearing what she has to say about stuff. Have a wonderful evening Bobby !!
Having a curiosity to understand all things and a desire to learn is a wonderful thing to aspire to no matter what a persons interests are ! This is what makes your channel a must watch-you and the missus understand the importance of educating and entertaining the viewer. I believe that progress and success is achieved when citizens dedicate themselves to seeking to understand how they can make the world and their community a better placeto live and your videos embody that spirit of community and understanding!! Kudos to you and the missus !!!
Well thank you for one of the most complimentary comments I think we have ever received on the channel !! I've always thought it sad to think of all the experiences that are taken to the grave because there was no real way to share. That's changed with the advent of social media. My goal however, with the channel is to provide (hopefully) archival footage of the daily things we do for our great grandchildren that are not yet born. Maybe they will stumble upon it some day and enjoy the goods and the bads from a generation of family they never met. Think now of what it would mean to you if you were to stumble on some old, old footage of your own great grandparents going about their daily activities. Would that not be an awesome day for you....?!! Thank you once again for the awesome comment.
Good morning Wendell! Thanks for another entertaining and informative video! Loved the banter between you and the Missus. She sure did her homework and asked great questions along with clever commentary. Well, you are beyond the point of no return now with the Case. Onward into the breach!
Good Evening Martin !! Yes, unfortunately there's a bit more work to be done to get this old Case back on the road again ! Nothing simple for a change doggone it. Thanks for the kind words about the Missus and her research my friend.
Wendell, one day the Missus is going to test you on the operation of a toaster. She sure did her homework, no sandbagging with her around. Keep up the great work and enjoy your weekend.
Hahahahahaha.....dang, toasters are just beyond my extremely limited knowledge base Mike !! Some things must remain a mystery !! Yes, she keeps me on my toes. I always tell her sometimes I wish I'd have married a dummy because I could get away with more stuff. LOL
Thanks Terry for taking the time to watch the problems show up right along with us. I'm afraid her researching is gonna put me on the spot one of these days. LOL I am not one to remember the proper names and terms real good anyway.
That was very interesting to watch! I really like Missus's curiosity. Now the down part is that you have rust down below... But at that point, what else could it be anyways! Thanks!
GOOD START ON THE PROJECT AND CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT VIDEO, LOOKS VERY INTERESTING SO FAR. THE NARRATOR SOUNDS LIKE SHE LEARNED A COUPLE THINGS. 👀👍
The secret to having a successful hobby is getting the Missus interested in it too....Shhhhhh...They'll never know. LOL Thanks Mark for stopping in today.
Hahahahahaha....well, I am glad to hear she's got that effect on you. She makes me cry too, but its usually at the jewelery store.....LOL Not really. She prefers old 50's costume jewelry over diamonds and gold. Thank you for letting us know you found enjoyment in the video.
@@ScrewdriverTUNING Yep, like they say: Behind every successful guy there's a woman.....pushing, complaining and pushing some more....LOL But I agree with you, its always the ladies behind the successes of just about any business. Sure guys may beat the bushes and 'find' the work, but its the ladies that 'make' it work. We both appreciate the additional very kind remark.
Thanks Gary....I've had suggestions to label this series 'Tractor Talk With The Missus'....But that's too close to the username of another fella's channel, but I just can't remember whose it was...... (-;
Hahahaha...well to my grand luck she bought me an Oliver 77 at a yard sale about 25 years ago !! The good thing was it has three point, an EMCO 6' blade, a 3 pt wood splitter, and a 3 pt Ford rear reversible scoop !! That predated Craigs list....LOL I guess that counts, right ?? She loves Olivers and wants two tractors for herself : 1) an Oliver 60 and 2) any Silver King we can find. I have a 66 Orchard, but that's not good enough for her.....LOL
Very special with Missus giving you a hard time my friend, I wait for that knock out question lol, your videos are way to short!!! thanks my friend for a great video
Thank you Jan for the very kind comment. She is fun to have help on projects when she has time. I am glad to hear you are enjoying the videos with the Missus AND the Case.
Man buddy you are going to have to be on your game the misses is going to be checking out your work to see if are doing things correct lol good video take care have a great day
I know Tom....I think I created a monster...LOL Not really, its just that for some reason she has taken a great interest in this particular tractor. I guess she'll be the the Tractorman quality control !!
@@tractorman4461 you know, my hat is off to her for taking the time to look up information on a project you are working on. For that, I tip my hat to your Mrs.
It's a good thing 'The Missus' didn't watch an Edd China video, when he talks about the four cycles of a 4-stroke engine, he says, " suck, squeeze, bank and blow", instead of 'intake, compression, power and exhaust. or she might not understand a darn thing about engines. :) I do enjoy these videos Wendell, Thanks.
Hahahaha....Edd China....I've not yet had the pleasure. But it sounds like he too has a peculiar 'take' on internal combustion. Guys in just about any trade or occupation use slang terms that make perfect sense to those that are familiar. Heck...like listening to an interview with a NASCAR driver. I never know what they are talking about. LOL
Man yeah Mr Wendell!! The Mrs has upped her game a little now, even caught you off guard 😉😉😉🤣🤣🤣That has to be an epic convert y'all have there in the shop during an engine taredown!! I really enjoy both of you!!! I would give anything to wrangle mine out in the shop on day!! 😁😁 She says she may help me bale some hay next year though, gotta start somewhere 😉😉😉👍👍👍 Man yeah ole partd.amd pieces coming off by the shop floor full!! 😁😁😁" Is this gonna be a all winter project" that one maybe me chuckle, when you said " I SURE hope not " 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thank you sir for another fine video, and thank you Mrs as.well, she did amazing and I learned a few points from her research as well!! 😉😉😁😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍
The Missus found out a long time ago that if she needed to see me, just come to the shop...well, either that or the wood pile. Off an on she really gets into a project. Sometimes its planing lumber or sawing lumber, sometimes its working on a motorsickle or working on a tractor....I just never know what's gonna tickle her fancy from one day to the other. LOL Sadly, I believe it IS going to stretch out over the winter. I'm rapidly getting behind on fall tasks. Heck I'd let your wife sit the tractor and let you stack the wagon...break her in easy and she might stay for the troublesome work. LOL Thanks for yet another cool comment Nelson. I'm hoping you are only getting a little rain about now..no deluge wanted !!
@@tractorman4461 You two are a match made in heaven Mr Wendell!! Really enjoy you both!! I think that's exactly how I will start her out, heck that's more help than I had last time🤦🤦🤣🤣🤣 Oh no on the projects, my goodness I totally see where you are coming from!! It's poured all day, 40-50 mph winds all day, fingers crossed my friend!! Have a great evening!!! 😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@Pennies_on_the_dollar I bet ol' Jack is hunkered in the shed for cover !! LOL. It IS good to have help and when the weather is blistering hot the hayfield is a good place to start. She will do fine....Now not trying to start anything, but do I see an air conditioned cab coming on one of the tractors soon ?? LOL Just kidding, heck we don't want to SPOIL them, right ??! Stay dry and stay safe my friend.
Keep up your OUTSTANDING VERY WELL WRITTEN COMMENT VIDEOS SIR ; ) Falling a sleep about the Rudolf or Diezel LOL !!! Highly technical 4 strokes expressions ; ) Like the discussion about % efficiency Diezel, Gas and Heart Surgeon ; ) Keep up your OUTSTANDING Team Work Sir with your LOVELY WIFE 💖💖🌹🌹👌👌😇😇👍👍 Cheers
Hahahaha...I wondered it anyone would pick up on that one... Heck, she told me more about diesel's than I ever knew ! All those fanciful terms make my head hurt. LOL I never know how long she's going to hang out on a project, because I figured out her time frame is limited by the square of the time it takes for her to get dirty !! See Dave, I have figured out a simple mathematical solution to the female mindset !! LOL Thank you for the exceptionally kind words about the Missus....You sure know how to make 'em blush mon ami.
@@tractorman4461 Make'em blush is the Easy Part Sir, the hardness tuff going part and surly not an easy walk in the park is to keep them in my case ( not the tractor I'm talking about ) LOL !!! See I Knew that you were an OUTSTANDING Mathematical Genius Sir and sweet talker too ; )
I guess lucky with the Missus but slightly unlucky with the tractor....LOL Thanks you Marcus. I hope all is well with you in Nova Scotia after the recent foul weather.
Being a school teacher no doubt brought on the need to do the research on the Case. Just goes with the profession and makes for knowledgeable conversation when she spends time in the shop with you.
Yeah, she took a liking to this tractor for some reason and just want to learn a bit more about what has to be done to make one run. I think she's already planning on claiming this one for herself. It'll be one of the few that have power steering. But first...we gotta get it running again !!

HAHAHAHAHAHA..... i got nothin', my friend. I got nothin'... LOL Man, I need to subcontract you to write the descriptions for ALL my videos. That was fun and the Missus is liking it pretty good too !! I enjoyed your version of the story and we thank you for the cool comment....The Missus says to give you TWO gold stars for the comment of the week !! I'll be sippin an a tippin in the morning DaveyJO.

I have an Audels automobile manual from 1938 that explains the four strokes of an internal combustion engine to be named as admission stroke, compression stroke, power or impulse stroke, exhaust stroke. The author goes into detail to explain The first stroke of the cycle, variously called charging stroke, suction stroke, etc., Is properly called the admission stroke, because it is during the stroke that the fuel charge is admitted to the cylinder. I always learned it as intake and exhaust either way looking forward to the head coming off😁
Good comment....yes, there are plenty of terms to describe the function of the four strokes for sure. I gotta admit that I have never read or heard 'admission' for the intake, but it makes sense. Thanks for the 'admission' of the terms for Audels. Interesting. I have some old Motors manuals from the 40's and 50's and I used to sit by the fire with a cup of coffee and look through a lot of different engines just to see variations of design. I bet they too have good descriptions of the strokes as well. Thanks for stopping by with a fun fact from back in the day.
It's got four individual injectors piped directly off the injector pump. Thanks for watching and I am glad you enjoyed the Missus and her questions and observations.
@@tractorman4461 I mean with indirect injection that injectors dont inject fuel directly to the cylinder but inside a special pre-chamber that is directly connected with cylinder. Injectors on that engine are angle like that, but i will see at the next video wheb you take off the cylinder head.
@@loodusefilm7881 Ok, I wasn't for sure what you meant about indirect injection. I don't get the chance to work on newer equipment at all. But you should see what you a little closer once we get the head off.
I've actually bought a can recently. I usually use my 50-50 mix of ATF and acetone I use in a sealed quart spray tank that's pressurized with an air compressor. No propellant. But I am getting to kinda like the PB Blaster.
That's the reason I stopped with just a few taps on the side of the head. I pulled the water pump and there were two bolts into the front of the head from behind the water pump. Thanks Doug for stopping by for a visit. It was still a heck of a job to crack it loose though. Between the head gasket and the water pump/timing cover gasket it was really stuck good !!
Somone has developed a kit to add a turbo to an M Farmall. They ran a classified ad in one of the antique tractor magazines. M&W had a turbo kit years ago. It had drilled connecting rods with an oil jet at the wrist pin end to keep the piston head from overheating and blowing a hole.AL B.
@@sallybrokaw6124 Man, a turbo M !! That's kinda scary. I bet it was a hoss though !! I have heard of the turbo kit though. I have a 65 horse turbo in an Ford NH skid loader and that turbo makes it one heck of a machine. The my old 03 Dodge is a turbo too. Other than that, I have nothing.
Unfortunately I have to agree with you on that one. I'm used to the costs associated with pre-pandemic purchases as well as shipping costs. They have gone through the ROOF !!
Dude man what happened ?? I'm right with ya,,,,, I'm stuck,,,,,,,,, and I see you tapping the head ,,,,, I'm thinkin ohhh buddy this is gonna be good and then puff gone ..... nothin,,,,,, then your cranking the head up chain hoist in next video WTF,,,,,
Iirc, the process to break the water pump loose was a killer. Really slow going and then breaking the bond between the head and the block was even worse. What happens is I end up with an hour and a half or two hours of video and it just got to be cut down severely because most people just won't watch them that long. So what you saw in the next video was actually the tail end of this one here after severe editing. I know, its tough to follow sometimes, but at the same time it 's pretty darn hard to be on this side of the editing table too. LOL. Btw, we put this project on the back burner out of necessity and intend to get back to it this winter while the weather is nasty. I do have a couple more videos that pick up where these left off. Hope you stay around to see them. It gets really interesting. More damage than I expected !!
