The roof markings look like instructions to first responders specifying where to cut through the roof if necessary in the event of a derailment involving overturned cars.
VERY NICE acquisition! Glad you could get a set of six without denting the checkbook too much. The locomotive you should look for is the MP40PH-3C which has been featured in your trainspotting videos. You could also opt for the F59PH locomotive.
Good lookin cars. There is a bit of rolling resistance to em. Rapido released the cars in series, too. They've got a bit more detail and lighting. A wee bit pricey though. Ill stick with the TRE express cars and coaches.
just a suggestion, make a cover for two of the windows, one each for seperate cars for the bathroom. There should also be one for the end car for the drivers cab but as the interior would not be there I would not bother.
Hey, I just looked online and Athearn did/does make one. Not sure how hard it would be to track one down. Also, I think Rapido might make one, but their stuff is pretty pricey, even in Canada! Honestly, with a fleet of six and no real need to run in reverse, you don't really need one. They look great on the layout, BTW.
I have that same bomber set, but it's in gray and red and can't remember the road name because I patched it out. I pull it with a gp40. The end car has a control stand, rear windows, horn, bell, snowplow, and ditch lights for shove operations.
I think they are push pull sets like the Edinburgh to Glasgow trains years ago so look out for a DVT or as they call them cab cars I maybe wrong Dave but I’m sure RM transit done a video on these trains Cheers mate Mark 😊😊
