I use a similar recipe for my Hellfire & Brimstone Deviled Eggs. The biggest difference is instead of bacon, I sprinkle some pepper and add 2 drops of hot sauce, just enough to tingle the brain.
Definitely put the eggs in before boiling, but also- add the wet ingredients to the dry ones. Since yolk size varies, the amount of mayo-mustard-mary mix needed will vary. Adding them later allows you to pull back, so your filling won’t be too loose. It showed when it started to pool and wasn’t holding the bacon up.
