1 feature that I'd love for LaserIO is something like the Create toolbox as an upgrade for the cardholder so you can keep all of your components on hand to use. all of the cards, filters, ect.
dire did you forget that refined storage has fluid crafting? the sequestial crafter isn intirly pointless just have a storage bus on the tank for lubericant and a buss on the glyserol chest and you can craft far better
adding more vortex tubes does not make your machine hotter. If you put one, two, three, four blocks that are all at 100 degrees Celsius your connecting machine will not go up beyond 100 degrees Celsius. The only thing you gain from putting more heat sources is that your machine will get up to that temp faster while it's loosing heat, however you managed to insulate your machine so your heat loss is minimal
You can get very good results in terms of heatsink efficiency with the heat vent modules. One or two at a decent pressure should be able let you run the compressors with 100% efficiency and get you into the thousand degrees on the vortex tubes. You can also reduce the amount of vortex tubes. One ist probably enough with a heatsink and vents pointing at that. The general rule is: heatsinks as close to the heat source as possible (more sides covered is better, i.e. with compressors) and then fans pointing at them (again, more are better, they scale VERY well, better that you might expect). At high pressures you should throw some expansion cards (the pcb thingy for modules) on the vents and tag them accordingly so as to not push you or other entities away. Caveat: From the pneumaticcraft discord I have the info that the speed of the refinery doesn't really increase past a few hundred degrees unfortunately. I don't know why they gated it but that seems to line up with my experience as well. I have a refinery at 2000° and it doesn't really go much faster.
Dire forgot about the pressure limiter at the pressure chamber, can't wait for that to explode next episode when he hooks up more compressors to the back end of the line.
Is stacking vortex tubes still a thing? I know in earlier versions you could link a hot side of one tube to the cold side of another tube to get increased output at the cost of more input energy (pressure in this case) (like how tec / peltier work in real life)
Wow Dire, you are way ahead of me, but anycase, having fun (trying) to follow you. Picked up this little tidbit and dont know if you already discovered it, but here goes. If you find a vein of Crimsite your iron problems are resolved (early game) . When you put Crimsite through a Pulverizer, you get crushed IRON Ore - Iron FTW
Hey Dire. Not sure if you will see this however you can use block of iron or block of compressed iron as an thermal conductor. Then you can put on the other 5 sides heat sinks to cool of the vortex tube. There is an mechanic like that. (Not sure if it still uses iron blocks as an conductor there might be an new block in this version of pneumaticcraft )
I've been hoping to see Dire attempt to spawn the RFTools slimes he captured.....The common and rare are easy, just like other mobs .... but the legendary is another matter.....the mob crusher does kill them easily ....however (iirc) the spawner uses more resources to spawn tougher mobs, at full health the legendary can't be spawn using IF you have to almost kill them BEFORE trapping them in the imprisonment tool. (I think that still works but haven't confirmed as I have only found 1 and I crushered it)
Update *** The mob duplicator doesn't work, I took a Legendary down to 9 HP before capture and it still would not spawn them. Testing the RFTools method next...I have a syringe just need time to set it up.
MFW dire has already forgotten about Thermal Lagging in spite of having done all this in Forgecraft not all that long ago (and I know it's not that long ago because I remember the name of the stuff; "thermal lagging")
it turns to obsidian eventually, he might not want to worry about the breaking of obs and the replacing of lava(even if it's only a con/destructor from RS)
You us h heat tube so you can use multiple heat sinks And for the insulation just use the pneumatic lagging funnily enough the mod provides what you need 🤣
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
