No Ian, Zols are not a new thing. In fact, they've been a thing since the very first game! They were the first slime-like enemies in the franchise, then later there were Bots in Zelda II, Buzz Blobs in A Link to The Past, and finally, Chuchus in Majora's Mask!

Zols have been around since Zelda 1, just the names have always been in the manual only. Huh, I just realized this is one of the few Zelda games where Link's name is definitely Link. Since you don't get the opportunity to name him yourself. Ah, cooking, my second least favorite mechanic from BotW, returns. Wonderful. Fire! This will be fun. This will be a fun BLG version of Tri who is traumatized from all their friends dying. Using meat to distract moblins is such a cool Zelda 1 callback!

Headcannon: zols and chuchus are the same creature, but the different eras in hylian history gave them diffrent names as the language evolved over time. We just don't notice most things because the game translates it all to English for us

the blur effect ian was looking for near the end is achieved with a macro lense. This lense can give the effect of photographing something large from far away with a normal lense (like a cityscape), but instead using a macro lense, you can get quite close. Often used for nature photography (flowers, insects) and dioramas, miniature models.

In spanish, Fi's name is written "Fay", because if you read that in spanish, it would sound like Fi. But we ended up just calling her Fey because htf are we supposed to know how to pronounce a name in Zelda? What I'm saying is... Fi, Tri... I get you, Casey.

about joycon drift: According to online guides and my own experience, you can fix drift the following way: Open up the backside of the joycon, and put in a little piece of foam or paper that will put some pressure on the back of the stick-assembly. Supposedly, this works because nintndo neglected to actually do this themselves, so the contact pad sometimes loses connection

Double press the home button quickly to zoom. You need it turned on though. For photos there's a specific prompt. Videos don't have it
