First and foremost, I'm so honored to be one of the last people to be Bastarded by you and Rex!! Now apropos of this episode, I had the pleasure of meeting Dixon Dedman last week, promoting his new brand 2XO, which simply stands for two times oaked. He left Kentucky Owl about 4 years ago. Having no inside knowledge I highly doubt that luxury distillery is coming. Dixon is also the owner of The Beaumont Inn, which is probably what led to that idea.
my job works with a lot of the distilleries in kentucky. i saw those plans for kentucky owl a couple years ago. the buildings look like giant glass pyramids with metal framing. i think they bought the old quarry in bardstown, they were planning to flood the quarry and turn it into lakes for their "bourbon resort".

I am so impressed with how you build community. From the Wizard Academy, Whiskey Vault to the You Tube channel, you bring people together with whisky. You have created layers of how someone can be part of your communities. Bravo to you and everyone involved in the creations. Cheers Daniel.
So funny today is KY Owl. The first time I met you back in 2018 after being in the vault with you, the Likarish brothers, Andrew Harrison, Carl Ivey, and my wife you found out about the trunk full of whiskey. The first thing I shared with you next to the the old welcome center was batch 1 Kentucky Owl Rye which to me is the third best rye ever. The rest of that bottle was shared with MB's at the La Quinta for the first ever La Quinta party. Putting names on everything for donations is an amazing idea certainly. I love sponsoring a shelf and helping the vault anyway we can. Cheers
