Hi I have a 2007 GMC Yukon Denali AWD with a 6l80 and it won’t go past 3rd gear and when it tries it throws a P0796 code and will into I guess limp mode.

Have an 08 G8 GT 6.0 & 6L80 with engine & tranny dyno tune. Suddenly started shifting erratic, hard shifting & sticking in 3rd. Codes are PO700, PO722, P2723 & PO796.

I have a 2009 sierra denali. I rebuilt it recently, rebuilt sonnax valve body installed. Shifts fine except for a random 2-3, very random and not all the time. No codes, line pressure, everything seems within spec. Only thing pretty much not touched, but I did bench test it, was the Techm, could that possibly be causing the random not so often flare?

I have a 2016 Chevy Traverse LT AWD it gave me P0700 and P2724. I am willing do a TCM repair if that is all it needs. Please tell what you can about these codes and whether you believe it's a hard part or not. AAMCO what's 7,000 to rebuilt and replace it. The SUV will not shift into reverse. I can not push the SUV in reverse when it is on and the shifter is in neutral but when it is off I can push in reverse with the shifter in neutral.

I have a 2015 Tahoe 6L80e that will drive fine and then sporadically gives a P0741, "TCC solenoid stuck off" code and then increases rpm and shifts harder. If I stop and erase code it goes back to shifting fine and maintains the lower rpm it normally has. Sometimes it will be days before it does it again, but it has done it multiple times in the same day. Is this a TECHM issue?

I have a 2007 GMC Yukon XL all wheel drive with the 6L- 80. Back in January had codes P0-989, P02714 along with P0 325,327,341. Just recently in April had codes P0989, P0752, and of course P0700 both times. Any idea what is bad in the transmission? Thanks

Truck throwing p0700, p2714. 2008 sierra Denali 1500. Transmission flare 2nd to 3rd shift. Changed a couple plastic disks but still doing it. Any suggestions?

2010 chevy silverado. Have a no start or 4x4 service light and abs light and traction control come on goes into limp mode. Chevy dealer had It for 2 weeks. They have no clue. I have to disconnect and reconnect Battery to get it to start.

08 denali 6l80 with a p0842 and p0877. It has a hard shift going into 5th gear.

Great info, thanks for the vid. 2008 Escalade 6L80E with 75K on reman trans. 4th to 5th gear was always very 'firm', but now it's exceptionally harsh - violent bang. No codes, no slipping, no shift flare, drives perfect otherwise. Does this sound like a TECHM/valve body issue, or rebuild time again?

Do these Techm HAVE to match part numbers in the interchangeable chart? 2424 etc? Or can I use any used / reman Techm no matter which part number and just flash my OS to the replacement module thanks? 2009 Yukon Denali AWD

08 Escalade would rarely and randomly slip . Pulled a code p0776 pressure control switch solenoid 2 stuck off. I talked to a transmission shop recommended by my mechanic. He told me to drop the pan, check the fluid for debris or metal. I didn't see anything in there that would cause concern. You said clean everything up and add new transmission fluid but do not flush the entire system. Just add new fluid to what I drained out. Ended up being about 4 qts. Check engine light went off on its own I didn't have to clear anything myself. Do you think the repair kit to replace the seals in the plastic disc would be a better solution here. Vehicle seems to drive fine under normal circumstances but I haven't tried to tow anything or for that matter even drive fast. I haven't noticed any slipping since then but I'm afraid If I tow something or try to drive somewhat aggressively the slipping could come back? Any thoughts on this?

Thanks for the info! P0751 here. If tehcm replacement isn't what you recommend, then next question is how best to clean the tehcm passages & pressure swit h areas? Converter failed & metal all thru trans. Doing full rebuild at home

Mine was saying pressure low on all but now that I put new film and seals those went away but it says p0700 mil sim so I wonder if it needs to be replaced

Hi I"m fixing a 2007 6.2 escalade AWD. Symptoms are harsh shift from 2nd to 3rd gear, tranny also sometimes slips or goes into "false" neutral then the tcm throws a P2714 code (Pressure control solenoid 4 stuck off). Do you think a rebuild will fix this or do i need another tehcm? Appreciate the help.

I have a 2011 Silverado with a 6l80. I have the code P0741 Tcc stuck off. When removing the pan I also had a loose E12 middle bolt that fell in the pan as I removed it. I was hoping the loose bolt was the cause of the code so I replaced it and torqued all other bolts and re assembled but has the same issue.

I got 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 6l80e transmission in it and it has a code of p0796 come up it said the pressure control solenoid valve 3 on it was stuck off what can I do to fix this

Hi there guys have a Q: regarding my trans have a 6L80E that when selecting drive it does not engage drive unless I apply a little pressure on the shifter it then engages D then car drives fine no slipping or flaring between gear changes the only thing I notice is the D indicator does not display on dash if I give it a slap into D the D comes on on the dash apart from that car drives fine have done fluid change made adjustments on the linkage either way with no change nor am I getting any codes would this be TCM or shifter issue in your opinion many thanks in advance

What if TChM doesn’t read speedometer or neutral? Replaced trans and put old TChM in and still have no neutral and no speedo. Speedo worked before new trans was put in so I’m confused to why it doesn’t work now. Checked speed sensor on valve body and it’s plugged in. Should I change or rebuild TChM? Thanks!

Code PCS 5, 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3, goes to limp mode after after driving it 5 minutes or so, rpms Rev high pressing the gas and not shifting. I dropped the pan , real dirty, magnet was full of metal shavings. Repair kit, or replace techm, can't I just replace solenoid 5, I'm in CA, where are you located

After having a transmission flush...my car (2008 pontiac g6 gxp)...would lose power...would be driving..and all of a sudden it would only rev up....without any warning lights....if i stop turn off the vehcle for a few minutes...re-start it...it will go a short distance...and do it again....only rev up... Got a 2018 Chevy Tahoe last night was driving 35mph at a instance lost forward drive with no engine light. In the middle of the street I turned the Tahoe off and restarted and drove forward about a 100’ the lost coward drive. Did it again and again so I could get off the road. Had Tahoe towed to a shop but it’s Sunday. Any help?

I have an 1825 code I did the test as described by Alldata with the grounded jumper. No change in status. Also see the transmission temperature sensor read -40. B+ voltage present at terminals 4,9 and 12 and ground on terminal 5 is good. Thoughts?

Hi I have a 6l80 5.3 2010 Sierra 1500 4x4 with code P0843, Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor A Circuit High. Rough shift up shift 2-3. Transmission has some Lucas stop slip, was overfilled before. Fluid level is correct now and looks clean, I cleared the code and it came back. Would you recommend a tehcm and valve body or full rebuild?

I have a p2723 code, no gears unless I do the key on and off 3 times in a 2008 silverado. Then it lugs like it's in 3rd or 2nd gear

The seals that you talk about I see that on mine 3 out the 4 are not red in color does that matter?

2007 Yukon denali. Got it crashed. Took complete drive train out. Put it in my 87 c10 starts in 3rd or 4th. Plugged in my scan tool and tcm is not getting switched 12v. But connector does have needed powers and ground. Also noticed tcm was making high pitch noise. Is my tcm fried?

Hello I currently drive a 2012 caprice ppv with the 6l80e and I only have reverse with no forward gears. Any clues on what it could be? Also if reset the car power I have drive for a couple minutes and then lose all forward gears again.

I’ve got a 2016 silverado sent the transmission for rebuild it lasted 4months before throwing a p0741 code. Tcc stuck off trans won’t go into 5th and 6th unless truck is unplugged and restarted then it lasts 5mins before dropping me back down to 4th. Transmission is back out and very little metal on magnet I was told that’s break in from clutches reading other comments that are same code and your saying clean the solenoid, would break clean work slap it back together and try it?

Hi Eric. 2019 Chevy suburban. Just replaced battery and a couple hundred miles later it seems the TCM is failing or acting like it. Code is u1501
