Common Question is how far to run flies behind attractors. Answer is not Gospel but there are some basic norms...Often length is based on the size of the attractor mostly but not all of the time.
I know this is an old video but nobody ever mentions how they actually measure... is it from the flasher or from the loop? Like does it include the 2 1/2" of hardware attached to the flasher? Then where are you measuring to? The top of the fly? The bottom of the hook? It seems like "leader length" could vary a lot depending on where you measure from and possibly depend on the length of swivels/snaps/rings on the specific brand of flasher.
If your running copper with the 8"SD what would leader length would you run, same 22 to 30" or more? Great video and info on the others you showed,,,Great job,
