Tips from me? Make sure you had a decent meal beforehand. Have a bottle of water (the lights and excitement can be really dehydrating), have a few snacks in your bag in case you lose track of time and your blood sugar drops. Wear really comfortable shoes, and dress for it to be hot. Stay alert to where you are keeping your credit card so you don't lose it. Get receipts! I love attending bead shows. 🥰

🤣🤣🤣That's hilarious because it's so true!🤣🤣🤣 My first bead show, I was completely overwhelmed (as she mentioned a few times in the video). I had no idea what to expect & there is alot of truth to what you said about feeling as if you were under some kind of substance🤪🤣 I was so excited, I didn't want to stop for lunch & I only had 1 bottle of water on me. Being under all those hot spotlights, in a huge conference room with hundreds of other people, their body heat, the excitement of it all you don't want to break from it for lunch... like a kid with FOMO😆 You get light headed, blurry vision, your blood sugar drops rapidly & you get dehydrated. You are so focused on the fun it hits FAST! Please eat a hearty breakfast, bring lots of water & snacks. Set your alarm for lunch & stick to it, you CAN return...just be sure to get your hand stamped as you leave. Dress in cool comfortable clothes including good walking shoes. Definitely walk the place once to prioritize what you want (you will want it ALL) & stick to your budget!!! HAVE FUN🥰
I so appreciate videos like this. I am homebound so going to a live show is not really feasible for me, but I can get almost the same charge of creativity boost from watching videos made by another artist. Thank You!
I’m in the U.K. and whilst I’ve been to bead fairs here, I’ve not seen such a fantastic selection of specialised beads. Lovely to follow you around this one. Amazing.
Oh, I miss these shows. I used to live in Olrando and attend them a few times a year over there in the Tupperware Auditorium. Of coures, that's when I was more active with making and selling my jewelry. I love seeing all these table of beads!

I went to a Gen & Fossil show last September in Denver. It was so much fun. I got some beautiful cabochons and beads. I would have never gone, but because of you telling us in one of your videos that that is where you get most of your beads. I went, had so much fun. Thanks so much for sharing this video. I love your necklace in the video. I live in the Pacific NW and am very blessed to have two great bead stores within 15 miles of my home, as well as another under 60 miles away. When I travel to Seattle I try to always stop at Shipwreck Beads, which gives me the same feeling as a Bead Show. So much to see in so little time!

Everything was so beautiful. I just wanted to reach through the screen and touch everything with you. And your little precious angel can snore and snort as much as she wants! We have a senior citizen American bulldog and he snores up a storm!
I am going to bead show in august here in texas. This is dixie from texas. I collect beads i havebeen collecting since i was little and i am 60 yrs still collecting.
Love those natural stones! I would save up at least $1000.00 to spend! I love designing. I work with a lot of pearls and have a stash! Baroque especially

Last time we were in Kauai, we got married there the first time, there was a local artist selling their work. I think it was a husband and wife, anyways they would carve things on these huge pearls. I got a huge Tahitian pearl pendant with an octopus carved around on the pearl. It was just so cool, and a splurge. My husband saw them and I'm a June birthday, he knows I like pearls but funky pearls. Definitely a special piece.
I visited a gem show when I lived in Munich. I bought the most beautiful Mediterranean Pearls that I used in wedding pieces. It was 4 buildings of sheer paradise. I would love to attend a bead show too.
I would love to see a video on a craft fair or makers market you sell at. I loved watching the videos you made about how to display your products at fairs.

This made my mouth water....I don't think I could trust myself to stick to a budget at a show. Susan. it was a nice field trip and I love your tips, different is nice once and a while but your other videos are very satisfying. Maybe have a few were you show us your purchase and then take us through how you use it, plan it into a design with some of your stash through to the finished piece. I think selecting some unique focal piece and then making a finished jewelry set with it. Show us how you select the beads you are going to use in your design....you own such a huge selection, how do you narrow it down to what you are going to use?

I would never make it out alive at a bead show. lol I would want to buy a little bit of all, and the seed beads I would go broke for sure. As I site here and watch your video beading with super duo’s 11/0 and 15/0’s yes I love the demon beads also but I find them easy to work with. lol tfs hugs and hugs to our snotting puppy. Excellent tour of a bead show!! Love the shows that have so many offerings! I’m in Ohio, but the ones at different hotels in NYC, were spectacular with prices to match! I just bead for myself, or for gifts, but it’s a very relaxing hobby for busy ppl! Really a lovely video, and very good job giving advice on types of beads for beginners!! I’ll be watching for your other videos! 💖. A good suggestion if a person has never been to a show, is to take a seasoned beader with you!
Wow, while I would love to go to a bead show, I think I would just stand there and be overwhelmed and would certainly spend too much. During Covid last year I sorted all my beads and that was very inspiring. Having them all organized helps me plan what to make and it really felt like I was shopping seeing all that I already had and had forgotten about. Thanks for the great overview and kisses to your sweet pup.

It's safer from a distance from some of us, or at least safer for our financial management. I'm still thinking about that royal blue dyed agate with the odd colors and the hole in the center. I bet this last year has really hit these businesses hard unless they were able to go to other parts of the country which were not closed.
