@@gloryandpowertabernaclemin6618 exactly. Even Bednarek, he has been losing to Lyles so it’s awesome to see both of them put it together and get the wins..
Please please please guys let's give Honor where it's due. The headlines should be Letsile Tebogo wins Gold for Botswana, whether Neils Had covid or not😢😢. Letsile was just too good for all of them. Everyone wanted USA to take Gold but Tebogo was just too good.
I wish Americans could appreciate other athletes elsewhere, instead of thinking they deserve to be first all the time. Just appreciate Letsile Tebogo’s performance period!!
Never seen a covid patient that fast ,in my opinion noah was over confident and condescending to his competitors ,tebogo honestly made his homework and im happy to see him take gold he really did well ,i kno Americans over hype their athletes as it has always been btn them and jamaicans 😊😊congos tebogo for making Botswana and the entire Africa proud🎉
I hate it when people making excuses about Noah having run the 100m so that's why he wasn't at his best. Tebogo and Kenny were both also in the 100m final. This specifically is not a valid excuse.
Thats what made Bolt so unique he did the 100,200 and the 4x100 for 3 olimpics back to back n won them all yet people try to compare Noah to Boult he aint no way close to being consistent like bolt
@@leonamthony he is no where near as dominant either.. Carl Lewis and Michael Johnson were both more dominant than Noah but none of them are even close to Usain..
@@dr.p.withdgospel idk he trained 4 years to get there.. Let the man live!! He was being cautious, and if it was that serious then I’m sure the medical personnel would have stepped so he wouldn’t race.
Does the words quite yet deadly means anything. Tebogo was that and won. He was on a mission and he ended Noah's arrogant chatter when he cross the line yeah he silenced Noah's noise..congrats to him and Kenny.👏🤜👏👏
Congratulations to Tebza from South Africa ....well done young fella great job. We also proud of Simbine's performance in the 100metres. Not forgetting other South African Sepeng who got a silver in 800m in '96 Olympics & of cause Frankie Frederick's from Namibia, his Olympics silver medals in 100m. Inspiring Africans.
We cannot even get a full highlight to rewatch the race after Tebogo won if it was Noah who won the whole internet/media will be bombarded with his victory. Such a shame. Which covid ?
Lets take out Tebogo. Kenny had shown this year that he was the one to beat Noah, at the US trials we saw that. He was in a form to potentially beat Noah. Now Tebogo beats Kenny convincingly. Covid or no covid, Noah wasnt beating Tebogo
Yeah, that was 4 weeks ago. The goal is to peak here at the Olympics. You're saying Noah stayed the sames since the Olympic trials, his PB in the 100 with a bad start says otherwise.
@@kevinwong9656 so are you saying if not for the so called covid situation, Noah would have won??. Jux as everyone said that Noah used his 200m strength to his advantage over Kishane in the 100m final, the same way Tebogo used his 300m and 400m strength to secure this win, he is the 300m world record holder for a reason. If Noah had run faster than he did, Tebogo would have run an even quicker time. Also remember Tebogo has run down Lyles before you think he also doesnt learn???
Big ups Tebogo…proud u guys, big ups Akani( SA guys in 100m),big ups to the zim guys, big ups to samilkonga or so from Zambia,Shaun,Benjamin Richardson,Nigeria Tigress basket ball female team…Letsile Tebogo is the name…remember he rules 200m …Bummmm…the king 👑
Everyone believes he would have. I did post some 200m facts. This is the men's 200m, not the women's 400m hurdles, where there is no doubt that Sydney will win if she is healthy. I think the 100m hurt him this year, he really had to PR just to get a win at the tape.
Noah Lyles fastest time is 19.31seconds so that doesn't logically compute. But an athlete is only as good as he is for that particular race on that particular day.
@@PerformancelabofcaliforniaNoah has only gone faster than 19.46 twice, and without three 100m rounds in his legs. At best he would've edged Kenny for silver.
What about the guy who came 2nd? Kenny? People are focused on Lyles contracting covid. Even if he didn't have covid, tebogo was still going to win. Are they using this as some kind of excuse? I am very sure if he won that they were not going to mention covid. Please acknowledge everyone for being there in the final. They are all winners.
Y’all keep talking like Tebogo is not that guy!!! See you in 2028 when he becomes the 10th man in history to take both 100 and 200 gold!!! 🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼!!
Whether or not Lyles had COVID, Its not that easy to just drop 19.50 or faster in the 200m. Usain Bolt did it 4 times (19.19, 19.30, 19.32, and 19.40). Yohan Blake did it two times (19.26 and 19.44). Michael Johnson did it once. Noah Lyles has done it 4 times (19.31, 19.46, 19.47, and 19.50. Letsilie Tebogo has done it twice (19.46 and 19.50). Erriyon Knighton has only done it once (19.49). These are facts, not fantasies. Lyles and Bolt are tied with 5 times each from 19.51-19.59 ( Lyles: 19.52, 19.52, 19.52, 19.53, & 19.56 vs. Bolt: 19.56, 19.56, 19.57, 19.58, & 19.59). Could Lyles have won is just theroy. He lost, and thats a fact. Just looking at the best times in history, he may never go under 19.50 again, but who knows, maybe he will be the first to do it. Or maybe Tebogo will be the first, to run under 19.50 five times. But that is just speculation too. The only runner I would bet on to break the world record is Sydney Mclaughlin. Why, she keeps breaking her own world records, and is cleary dominant in the 400m hurdles. Instead of this media fascination with Lyles, look at Mclauglin, she just does the job, she is not talking or making excuses, she is winning, and at an outlandish clip. Trying to win the sprint double is crazy. Only 11 men have done it. Only 3 since 1972: Valeriy Borzov 1972, Carl Lewis 1984, and Usain Bolt 2008-2012-2016. Bolt set the WR of 19.30 at the 2008 Olympics in the 200m, then ran the current WR of 19.19 exactly 1 year later. Lyles antics are irritating, trying for 4 gold medals like Carl Lewis. Lewis was exceptional, 100m, 200m, long jump, and 4 x 100m relay. Lewis was not crying to be on the 4 x 400m relay like Lyles. Lewis earned his spots. Lyles talking about bumping Quincy Hall off the relay, was out of line. He can’t beat Quincy Hall or Quincy Wilson in the 400m.
@@anubisathletics yeah but I commend Noah for going for it. I do think everything around the 400 was uncalled for but people make mistakes.. He has big goals and wants to make the most of the opportunities, the more pressure he puts on himself by talking the harder I’m sure he works to accomplish what he is saying.. Lyles is just more of a character, partially because he isn’t as dominant as Sydney. Got to love her, just year after year setting new WRs. Can’t believe running sub 50 seconds in the hurdles is something she can maybe do, that would take a long time for another woman to break that 💯🤯
I agree Noah has never ran as fast as Tebogo did today, so it sums it all up no excuses.Noah has been talking instead of training, sportsmen dont talk actually they can only prove you wrong.Sorry Noah congradulations Tebogo well deserved son.
@@Nubako463 I don't even care about that because he did not run the rounds. I called our brother was going to beat Lyles. He showed it in the semis, but they discounted his effort.
That's the favoritism Kenny was talking about, all American eyes were on Noah and Kenny is just invisible to them, but big ups to Kenny, Noah simply lost.
@@Performancelabofcalifornia actually Noah was favored over Kenny and because Kenny was open about the favoritism he now gets this treatment and not acknowledged for his silver. Sam Kendricks said the same thing. 2021 Sam was sent home because he tested positive, he was not sick and his sporting code has less personal contact but he was sent home. Double standards.
@@ericmuthaura3777 yeah especially the US commentators they are supposed to be rooting for the USA.. I’m sure in Botswana they were going crazyyyy though!!!
You can say that again, why would his Covid result come after he’s beaten, and also why put the other athletes on risk of the same?? Gogo Tebogo, it’s just the beginning
@@Performancelabofcalifornia why was it only US commentators though? I thought the commentary should be neutral and objective at a global competition 🤔
@@shelly3120 I do think it’s a great accomplishment to win a bronze medal against the best in the world while running with COVID. Lol. Literally killed millions of people and Noah ran 200m with it..
@@Performancelabofcalifornia u honestly believe the covid thing is real? Like you said millions died of it, and the IOC let him run and interact with other athletes and after the effect tell everyone oh you were exposed to covid? It literally does not make sense. It not like you get half covid or full covid. Yes it affects ppl differently and thats why its dangerous. Other athletes could get really sick while he decided to be irresponsible.
Haha, where is the COVID narrative coming from? The proud Americans have been humbled. Tebogo the African King. Happy for my African Brother, celebrating from the land of the greatest Marathoners Kenya.
If it had been an African athlete who tested positive for COVID I wonder if he would have been allowed to race. In other words stop this nonsense about Lyles having COVID. If he has COVID why did they expose the other athletes......
Tebogo beat him on the semi finals too, he should of adjusted his confidence levels then, now this covid19 cover up is just embarrassing to him and such a shame to sportsmanship
Congratulations TEBZA you are now the African King with a GOLD MEDAL for our beautiful country - THE DIAMOND COUNTRY BOTSWANA. Congratulations all the way🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😂😂🇧🇼🇧🇼
I’m just wondering if Lyles caught COVID during the race. The way he was carrying on just before the race was so outrageous, he was issued a yellow card. So he had plenty of energy pre race.
Just listen to the forensic analysis. All the footage well picked. Am smelling a Rat! Just bcos it's an African that surprisingly won the gold. I hope there will be no disturbances on Tebogo after this. May God guide and favor Tebogo all through.
Lyle's and his team should be kicked out of the games and third place taken off him. No excuses for Lyles running while positive for Covid and putting other runners in danger. he has far too big an ego.
Letsile Tebogo beat Noah Lyles a couple of days ago in the semis, before being diagnosed with Covid. As a matter of fact Lyles barely beat him in the world champs by a nose, so lets not get it twisted like this kid didn't have a chance to do exactly what he did today. Please stop making excuses and give this dude the credit he well deserves. He's an Olympic gold medal winner so show him some damn respect and quit making excuses for the other guy.
Just my penny in the box ........anyone who realize that he's beaten........in whatever case........will have a strategy to use something/ excuses or whatever to cover....... especially if you're always so confident, even before the race like Noah, and coming to the finishing line confirmed.......3 or taunting he's co sprinters...........I really don't understand the meal that's been dished up for his lost ........he lost the race and that's it......... finish and klaar
I believe Lane position also plays a big role in the 200m racing, even though all the lanes are of the same length It's not just about the length; the trajectory and curvature play a huge role. Just like you wouldn’t drive at the same speed on a sharp curve as you would on a straight road, the same logic applies to racing-it's all physics. For the 200 meters, they should really consider making it a straight stretch, just like the 100 meters!
We, The Black Africans we are also human, we are also good. We have excellence as well. Just celebrate us or keep quiet. Eveytime an African does well, Americans and Eiropeans look for negative things to say.. I wont be surprised if our Black Champ is suspected of using drugs. Go away
Noah caught covid during or after the race, which one, because it cant be before😂😂😂 come on man😂 just stop it😂😂 he is trying hard to be like USAIN BOLT,just wont work.he is suffering from Shock😂😂
A tall tale for gullible people. He makes a triumphant entrance, jumping around like a kangaroo and energetically cheering the crowd. After finishing 3rd, he's on the ground and says he has Covid... of course. It's his ego that's taken a hit and now "has" Covid.
Tebogo said the 100 is to tactical that’s why he does alot better in the 200 cause even tho he makes mistakes he can still fix them so I think he can still get a lot faster in both 😭
Tebogo fully deserved the win and he was slowing up so can and will run even faster. Its a shame none of these guys look like they can trouble Bolts world records though, at least not right now. The 100m final would be considered slow compared to the times run when Bolt was competing. In 2012 all three medalists ran under 9:80.
Had he won would he have even talked about Covid and all ? See the way he was jumping on his entrance as if he had won it already . TEBOGO is and will be the winner . It’s fine for athletes to thrash talk and be confident . But behaving like this after losing is just shameful and embarrassing.
I'm so glad they beat him in the race because that's what happened in the 100m he came 2nd maybe even 3rd but because he's so loud they had to give it to him😂😂
Have y’all been Watching the Diamond League events plus U20 Championship,he has been knocking,so not surprised at all. Lyles is my bwoy too,he surprised me because I thought it was either him winning the gold or Tebogo. But but but I had my peripherals on Bednarek because you just can’t sleep on him.
Tebogo well done !!!Noah if he had covid why let him run ,Is he not suppose to stay away from other people keep hes distance covid or not Thebogo was super fast well done
I get it he’s a celebrity but, he’s not one of those super talented guys we’ve seen come and go in a while, so just credit Letsile TEBOGO! And it’s not that complicated
I'm a motswana and i find it funny that the US commentors jump to excuses when they lost why can't y'all just take the L you got mans on the 2nd and 3rd it's pathetic tbh😂😂
