Letter to my Wife- Shruti! 

तुमसे मिलना इस बरस का मॉनसून हो गया है; वो भी है मगर बरसता नही; तुम भी हो मगर आती नही: जितने दिन गुजारे तुम्हारे बिना; वो सावन में भी जेठ जितने लंबे थे; प्यार करने वालो का इतना दूर रहना वाजिब हे क्या? गुलजार का लिखा याद हे तुम्हे? तुम्हारा तो सारा सामान मेरे पास पड़ा है; क्यू नही आती; वापस लेने!! और अगर गुलजार नहीं याद; तो मेरे आजम के पुकारने पर तो आ जाओ; रंजिश ही सही दिल ही दुखाने के लिए आओ: आ फिर से मुझे छोड़ के जाने के लिए आ!!! तुम्हारे लगाए हुए गुलाब खिल उठे हे; अब मुझे देखो; तुम्हारे बगैर केसा मुर्जा सा गया हूं में; ड्रेसिंग टेबल के सीसे पर तुम जो बिंदी छोड़ गई हो; वो भी तुम्हारी राह देख रही हैं!! तुम्हारी खुशबू याद हे मुझे; मुझे याद हे तुम्हारा आ-युगा लगाना; हमारा कमरा एक भीनी खुशबू से सरोबहार हो जाता था: और तुम्हारे चेहरे पर गुलाब जल की बूंदों का धीरे धीरे रेंगना!! मानो वो तुम्हारे अहसास को छोड़ना ही नहीं चाह रहे हो: तुम्हारे हाथो की हल्की थपेलिया मुझे किसी बड़े संगीतकार के तबले पे थाप मालूम पड़ती थी; और में हुस्न और संगीत के इस खूबसूरत मेले में जुमता रहता था; ये मेल वैसा ही था जैसा तुम्हारे आ-युगा में चंदन और गुलाब: तुम्हारी गेर हाजरी में मेने तुम्हारे सारे नुस्खे अच्छे से पढ़ लिए हैं: में तुम्हे बताना तो नही चाहता लेकिन कभी कभी छुपके से रो लेता हु; मेरे जेहन में तुम काबिज हो लेकिन में किसी महफिल में तुम्हारी चर्चा नही करता: ...इंशा की तरह हम भी वही मौजूद थे; हम से भी सब पूछा के; हम हंस दिए हम चुप रहे; मंजूर था परदा तेरा......

एक अरसा सा बीत गया,इस तरह की स्क्रिप्ट सुने, बेहद बहुत ख़ूब से अल्फ़ाज़ लगे गुजरे हुए जमाने की याद लगे लगा कि वक्त जैसे ,दूर से आवाज़ दे रहा हैं फिर से ख़ैयाम और नौशाद की तरह दुलार रहा हैं शब्द नही हैं सुंदर प्रस्तुति

सारी कविताएँ शायरी प्रेमिकाओं पर हीं लिखी जाती हैं, पहली बार इतनी प्यारी कविता पत्नी पर सुनी, सच मे सुकून था ❤
