Eric’s book on Bonhoeffer is one of the finest books I have read. I was sad when it came to its end. Christians would do well to read it.

Luke 22:21-23 "And yet behold, the hand of the one who is to betray me is with me on the table; for the Son of Man indeed goes as it has been deteremined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed." And they began to debate among themselves who among them would so such a deed.

The chief priests and the temple guards handed Judas Money. Jesus hands Judas a peice of bread. Judas throws the money at the cheif priests in guilt for betraying Jesus and selling out as a desciple. Judas Hangs himself on a tree. The cheif preists hang Jesus on a tree. Peter denies our Lord three times at the crucifixion and hides. Jesus greets the first Pope who was handed the keys to the church in place of the cheif priests and temple guards who would arrest Jesus and have him scourged and crucified, after the Resurrection and redeems Peter and asks Peter three time: do you love me? Feed my flock. Care for my flock. Until I return. Woe to the Baaaaad Shepherds who are neglected Jesus's flocks.
