How I wish Lester was still around, so that I could learn with him. Alas, in our Western world, I haven't seen anyone as close to enlightenment as him.

Animals lives are controlled by physical reactions and limitations. Humans are mind driven. We can only be free from the mental cage by getting into space or silent being and away from the usual attachment to our thoughts, (by becoming the observer.) Gradually in time thoughts are dropped and we live in stillness mostly. I use some techniques, mainly Transcendental meditation, but they all boil down to this process. I rate Lester's way very highly from what I hear, but it takes commitment to get free, there are many ups and downs on the path. Our addiction to thought is the greatest one we can have.
