In this video, we break down the differences between the Leupold Mark 4HD and the Mark 5HD riflescopes. Shop Mark 4HD: www.leupold.co... Shop Mark 5HD: www.leupold.co... #leupoldoptics
Just got mine yesterday, and I'm blown away. I've spent a lot of time behind the Mark5 and many other competitors' optics. For the money I have a new favorite- the Mark4 all the way!!
Is the glass the same in the Mark4HD as the Mark5HD? I'm not interested in the vague comment that "they're both professional grade". The Mark4 seems like it will greatly decrease sales in the Mark5 if it's the same scope in a lighter package. I understand there are slight differences, but the Mark4 seems to check just about every box for roughly half the price of the Mark5.
You wouldn't happen to still have those rings would you...?? Mark4 delivers tomorrow and the local options are disappointing (at best). Looks like I'm gonna have to order something.
What's the difference between the legacy Mark 4 and the new Mark 4 HD? Many people that I know, including myself, prefer the legacy Mark 4. We are willing to pay more for a legacy Mark 4 than a new Mark 4 HD.
The new Mark 4HD will have the same optical quality but it will have improved features, e.g. Zero locking turret, Illumination, new reticle choices and a parallax adjustment that can focus down to 25yds. -DY
I think the Mark 5 is a very decent scope but in its price category it would be like my 4th or 5th choice. The only scope in that line I could see buying is the 3.6-18
@Sg16- got mine yesterday. I never comment very much about a product, but I am initially very impressed with mine. So far I have compared it side by side with my PST ii in 5-25, Razor LHT 4.5-22, Leupold VXR 3-9 and Razor Gen iii 1-10. The glass in the Mark4 is the best of the bunch, with a discernable difference between the Mark4 and the PST. They're not too far apart in price, but I suspect that will change very soon. The LHT is pretty good in comparison, and also priced similarly to the Mark4. I haven't tested low light conditions, so I can't comment there. I acquired mine as part of a warranty trade in, which is a testament to the warranty process with Leupold. It was hassle free and overall simple. No regrets whatsoever!
@@joshuareed3999Sure, but it’ll take a few more years before it’s available. They are known for dropping nice optics with awful reticles over and over.
@SM-tg7yw I was asking because mine (4.5-18x52 with PR-2 reticle) came in the mail yesterday. I had an issue with my VX-5 and was able to swap (with cash on my end) to the new Mark4. Couldn't be happier with my decision. I'm making a prediction now- this thing will make major waves very soon. At the price, it absolutely can not be beat! I'd be worried about my Mark5 line if I were Leupold! In a separate comment I made on this video Leupold confirmed the glass is the same as the Mark5. Now that I have mine in hand, I believe it. If you get a chance to check one out I guarantee you'll love it!
