This review feature's Leupold's new rangefinder, the RX-5000 TBR/W. Leupold teamed up with onX hunt allowing you to pin map locations using this handheld rangefinder. Set-up is fast and easy using bluetooth and Leupold's new Control app. Range an animal or nearby feature and onX maps will load with a new waypoint on the map. The mapping feature is also compatible with Google Maps. This rangefinder is faster and more precise than ever with a re-designed 905 performance engine. The 905 engine powers its long-range mode which uses 12,000 pulses a second to range reflective targets out to 5000 yards and animals to 2000 yards.

Do you know if the points can be pinned to the OnX offline maps? Or do you have to have service for the pins to work correctly?

@andrew...... said what i was thinkin. Does annyone have any intel if they will have this in there binoculars next year? I also agree with most of you btw, but i will say running basemaps and on x is a bit of a pain. All my pins and shared info with other guys is in On X. I have the sig kilo 10k and i dont love the optics and the pin location feature had a cech right in the middle of archery elk hunting and didnt work the whole time. I had the leica's right before that. But i will say "if it works" guys will buy this just because of the On X feature, i just dont want to carry an extra thing around. Our bino harnesses have all turned into front facing backpacks for all the sh** we think we need for hunting now. But if anyone knows if the binoculars are the next step I may consider them.

Must be a sponsor for Eastmans. They did the same thing to me when my rangefinder quit working. After just a few years $500 bucks and no warranty they said. We'll give you discount on your next one. Why would I want a Discount? Sig Sauer and Vortex have a great warranty. My Sig works GREAT and no issues for a few years now,

Look at Swarovski binos with rf with TA. It's similar in getting you to the last ranged location.

They burned me on their crappy 3 year warranty on rangefinders even when they knew of the problems with them and pretty much said sucks to be you I will never buy another leupold electronic product
