There are approximately 6,000 level crossings in Britain and every day they are used by thousands of people to cross one of the busiest rail networks in the world. Trains can travel up to 125mph so it’s important people pay attention and follow the instructions in front of them.

200km/h?, a Class 153 does only 75mph or 120 km/h and only weigh around 41 tonnes

At an automatic half barrier crossing it could be as little as 27 seconds

People need to realise that when the yellow light is on at a level crossing, the train is usually only 26 seconds away, so don't risk it to save time, very few people survive being hit by a train.

The old ones were to entertaining, that is why they toned them down to cheesy. The people that got mad at the government for making scary safety videos which display the affects and dangers of being in dangerous places, got ofcom and what not to take em down and replace them with meme able versions.

Max speed 120kmh. A train travelling at that speed takes around a kilometre and a half to stop.

Well to have the alarms sounding is what they wanted for artistic licence, but then they could have used an AHBC for it. Just because the alarms sounded when the barriers were down doesn't mean Wheelwright Lane was an AFBCL because that classification wasn't invented yet

In other words, life can end in a split second. Repetitive warnings and instructions not always are easy to learn and put in practice. Learn by own mistake can be a deadly way to get it.

Very true, you wouldn't cross the road if you know a car is coming, if you see the barriers coming down at a level crossing, why risk your life and possibly the lives of others?. Common sense is a gift not many people seem to have these days is it!.

Sorry, this has not been presented very well. First, how did the woman get onto the apron with the barriers closed and how did she intend to get through the barrier on the other side? Maybe the barriers were up when she began crossing but they are certainly down at 0:26. It would have made more sense to film this at a half-barriered automatic crossing where incidents like this are more likely to happen.
