I've had mine now for 2 days and honestly, after going through maybe 100 pedals in the last 4ish years, this has to be my favorite. Although each pedal I've had does different things, this one makes them all better... Incredible spatial detail. Beautiful smoothness in adjusting everything. Everything seems to be a sweet spot. Every time I get something as good as I think it can get I make it better. I got lost in it for the better part of 12 hours yesterday 😂 Sounds like studio rack gear. No hissing or noise in the backround as some have reported in reviews (although I think those were for the smaller rack units). Dead quiet. Perhaps the line level noise they were hearing was from the audio signal prior to it enunciated through the high band? Nothing like it as far as I know. If I were rich I would have three. One for my vocals going into the mixer, one for my guitar effects going into the mixer and one for the auxiliary sends for the final mix. I honestly can't decide where to use it when I play live right now. I'm actually split between all three spots because it makes all three sound that much better. I'll quit writing now, but suffice it to say I honestly love this pedal and cant see ever parting with it. What it does it does perfectly. ❤

As an approach: I love it and I want it. As a device: I love it and I want it. As someone whose is just dipping my toes into mastering (in Adobe Audition - admittedly not the best environment) this seems like a much more fun, easy, and intuitive way of taming the rougher elements that inevitably pop up when Giant Ambient Pedalboards come into play. This is next on the must buy list after a 1010 Bluebox mixer.
Very cool man it appeared like you were playing the EQ like a mixer instrument at the end there. Love when Lanois does that. Just picked up a vintage 15 band analog EQ to try my hand at that.
This video epitomizes what I love about your channel - compelling and deeply *musical* dives into effects and composition. I'm totally sold on this pedal for the end of my effects chain, which means I need to totally redo my ambient bass pedalboard... again. I just wish the frequencies were sweepable to let us set our own thresholds between bass, mid, and high.
This honestly is a solution to like three things delivered in a way that I didn’t know I needed. Loved this video, I think this pedal looks like such a great solution for a lot of people, and I wish people would be less critical. It’s all just fun music gear, everyone! You can like it or not and go about your day. Not everything has to be built for everyone, but, coming from a long history of playing in bands live a lot, to a mostly studio musician (little room in my apartment), this pedal looks EXTREMELY useful. Kudos!
I do live sound-scaping for a NYC theatre production using a stereo guitar rig where I am the only musician. A lot of times there is a lot of low end in what I do and the mid-side controls will be huge in tackling the bass issues in the sound.
That sounds lovely! I also like having a fully mastered sound in my ear when I'm recording, but sometimes the DAW plugins have a tad too much latency. Killer that so much of that polish can be achieved in a pedal.
Great stuff, Mark! Enjoying your content. Have you ever talked about how you deal with noise when playing/recording in the same room as your computer/DAW? I get bad computer noise over the pickups. To deal with this, I have to make heavy use of noise reduction, but that unfortunately means the signal gets filtered quite a bit. I tried different pickups, but it didn't really help much.
Seriously mark the way you showed the mercury x track reamped via the pedal was amazing. 31:20 turning it off really showed the quality added to the mix. Amazing work 🥃
im new at this,sounds like i need it, but do i need it if i use mono sound and i record like three guitars+bass guitar for a post rock band? i dont see how this would work. what it would do to a mono sound that would benefit me? give your take on this please, mark.

it's not like they're the first music company to do signature gear for a trendy artist, and at least the Andrew Huang pedal seemed to match his sensibilities (easily changing effects order is something he seems to value, for example). And it's not microcosm-like at all, but now that I think about it, it IS sorta Chroma Console-ish...
Ok let's unpack a few things here; 1. Are you thinking of the Hologram Chroma Console and not the microcosm? Because Chroma and Ghost are both streamlined multi effects wherein you can reorder the blocks and ramp parameters in real time that will play back. Microcosm is obviously a granular sampler / resynthesizer that is just... very different than either of these. If that's the case you might want to know that Endorphines partnered with Huang to create Ghost as a eurorack unit *back in October 2022* which puts the rack version of Ghost a full year before Chroma Console. 2. "a RU-vid pedal" is a pretty weird and dismissive way to describe a piece of gear as intricate as any of the pedals were talking about here, especially given what a talented producer and sound designer Andrew Huang is. 3. If Emily did a signature chorus and it sounded rad I would totally check it out because I like Emily and I like when cool people make cool gear.
