Great lesson, thanks ! Indeed, this approach of slide playing really takes time to develop and is worth working for. So many possibilities coming out of it, be it on leads, chords and even solo arrangements. If you think outside the box, slide guitar still has full potential of discovery!
Excellent John! Hey, it looks like you have one of those "dome" top slides. I'm going to look into that. In any event, I'm basically a country blues fingerpicker who now --- has to --- start playing some slide. What I mean by that is I got a darn near mint 1932 resonator in its original case. So, I think you'd agree that I have to play some slide on that beautiful guitar. John, you do an outstanding job of teaching and I'm super glad I subscribed. Big thanks!!
Hey Steve! Yeah, I got this roundover / dome slide last week and I'm really glad I did. It's by Rockslide and it fits perfectly and I can't put it down. I'm happy you got that '32 reso! I would love to be in the same room as one of those let alone own one so...good for you! Enjoy and thanks for being a subscriber!! Play On!!
Wow, thanks for the nice reply John! I appreciate you letting me know that your slide is by Rockslide. You saved me some research. Well, I'd better get back to practicing. Thanks again John. Much appreciated!
