it's good to see rapid lock on little giant. love leveler by the way gorilla hinge is the best hinge hands down. adopt it. make hinge disk as big as possible and place two hinge pins as far as possible. my werner hinge pin jammed and broke after ten years. biggest weakness of little giant is center hinge.
Just got my m22 at Lowe’s. I got it to paint 2 17 foot interior walls with one having a stairway. Plus I ordered the little giant stabilizer to go with it. I’m ready for this job and I’ll feel safe.
I have the M26 Leveler 1.0 version and I love it. Wouldn't be able to do some of the inside/outside DIY jobs without it. Turning those locks 89 degrees instead of 90 isn't going to lock the ladder, as I learned on the way down from about 10'. When adjusting the height, make sure you hear a click, double check that it's locked, and proceed.
The new model discontinued AirDeck ports, so I picked up the older version. The M26 will probably be the last ladder I need. :) I ❤ my AirDeck!!! I have it on my 17’ Megamax. There was one job I did last year that was impossible to do without it. Well, almost impossible. I in the end did it, but it took a lot more effort and wasn’t ergonomic.
I'm so glad you got one with AirDeck ports! I love the way it can act as an extra support, so you can stand just that much higher when it's in A-Frame.
I have already looked at your website, with that being said is there any single source that I can reference and easily compare side by side to see the differences in say this model versus the other simular models? There appears to be quite a few difference models which have similar features but aside from going back and forth to the many spec pages I haven’t been able to get a side by side comparison of the 4 different models I am interested in. Thanks very much! Appears you have have some impressive products….:)😊
We are working on a feature like that for the website but it hasn't gone live yet, so I apologize for having to make your own comparison chart!! If I may ask, what are the 4 you're comparing?
With more of our ladders coming with built-in ratchet leg levelers, I'm not blaming people for being unsure what the differences are! It can be confusing. The Leveler 2.0 has an improved palm button (which now also duals as a tool holster). The Leveler also features rapid locks, while the xtreme and the velocity use rock-locks. The Xtreme has an accessory port by the hinge (for accessories like the airdeck or fuel tank). The Velocity doesn't have the extra features. If you have other questions feel free to ask me anything!
@@patsman6737 The best option right now for the AirDeck is the Xtreme - which is on a closeout sale about 50% off - and it includes the accessory in the cost. That's what I'd recommend, but after those sell out, only the Epic will have the accessory port. www.littlegiantladders.com/products/xtreme?variant=43344620224745
For lifting the ladder, putting the ladder at the base isn't practical when you're between two story houses or when the base is obstructed by bushes, plants, etc. I've made it work by adjusting my ladder while it's standing which is a huge pinch hazard. They really need to figure this out for their longer folding ladders. Make them lighter while you're at it.
One option is to find an open area where you can foot it, so that you can extend the sections while it's mostly horizontal, and then once it's raised vertically, carry it over to where you need to be, while it's up-and-down. The main reason you need to foot it even if it's not where the final position will be, is that in taller models (like 22 and especially the 26), if it's fully extended it will be top heavy so as you're bringing it up, it has a chance to kick up the bottom legs from the ground as the center of gravity is behind where you are lifting it from. But if you foot it anywhere, then lift it straight up, then you can carry it over to where you need it. As far as the weight of our ladders go, compared to similar models from competitors, we're either around the same weight or a couple pounds lighter, depending on the model. (models with ratchet levelers are usually around the weight of competitor ladders, while our models without the built-in levelers are a couple pounds lighter than competitors). As always, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the ladder experience.
I only used mine a few times and some of the orange plastic covers of the ends of steps are broken, cracked and about to fall off. Do you send replacements under warranty? Can they be replaced?
I would call customer support and see what they say, sorry to hear about those caps. It doesn't sound typical from my experience owning some for years! Their number would be 1-800-453-1192
Hey Little Giant Ladder Systeem, Do you know where I can order this ladder in the Netherlands? they only sell the velocity here... The leveler is the big boss i say!
I do know the Leveler 2.0 is exclusive to Lowe's right now. The closest similar ladder would be the Velocity - but you'd want the Velocity with Ratchet Levelers included. I will check with the team to see if there's any options for international customers and the Leveler 2.0.
Hi in the presentation for the stair adaptability feature the wheels seem to be facing the opposite direction from what the safety label is saying: wheels should be at bottom facing opposite direction of the stairs, is it ok to do so?
It is totally ok to have the wheels at the top facing the stairs, in fact I prefer it that way so nobody could accidentally slip on a wheel at the bottom.
This might be a bit off topic since its bout a different ladder from your lineup, but I' d like to know why the "revolution 2.0" no longer has (according to pictures..) a 4 pin hinge ?
I need to go talk to our engineers to ask them exactly, but my best guess is that the 2 pin hinge still exceeded the high standard in our OSHA/ANSI testing, and therefore could shave some small amounts of weight off the ladder. As we innovate and improve our ladders, it's nice to be able to find small ways to bring the overall weight of them down. You'd find that most of our multi-position/articulating ladders are now around the same weight as competitors (or lower!) while adding built-in safety features like ratcheting levelers, at a high 300 or 375 lbs weight capacity.
I just replaced my old Little Giant with this new Leveler 2.0 22'. I like it but watching this video I can tell you that this guy lifted weights for months and practiced that video dozens of times over before publishing the finished product (this video). These ladders are very heavy and trust me, your movements will not be smooth and effortless (like in this video) moving this ladder around and changing the adjustments. Lol. I do like this ladder but it will wear you out.
Is it possible to remove the pre installed tool tray ? Although obviously not recommended. Sometimes I have to stop atop the last rungs in the a gram position and that tool tray inhibits that.
There are a couple sets of screws on the left and right side (looking at it from above) that you'd just have to unscrew. You can also put it back together. This demo video explains how to do that, if you'd like to check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-thJcUNCT5uo.html
Does anyone worry about the fact the rungs are just welded instead of riveted? I bought one online, and only realised when it arrived today that under the orange plastic bits the rungs are welded on. Cheers.
I appreciate your question! I will try to see if I can share an internal video from 2014 regarding a weld-strength test we did. The bottom line is our welds are stronger than companies that rivet or rivet with a small weld. Welding actually forms a bond between the metal, while riveting just attaches it to the metal. It doesn't take much bending on a rivet to cause that to fail, while a good weld will take much more twisting and bending.
@@LittleGiantLadders Thank you for your response. I initially thought the orange plastic was "hiding" the welds, but I'm glad to hear that isn't the case. Cheers.
in the UK, look for the Conquest All-Terrain in aluminum or fiberglass if you need leveling features, or we do also make the Velocity, without the leveling features. You can find us at various locations, like TB Davies or ScrewFix.
@@OptimizPrime934 The Xtreme also takes the Safety Rails, but the Xtreme is in a close-out right now on our website-www.littlegiantladders.com/products/xtreme and so the Epic will be the only one accepting Safety Rails soon.
