EDIT: I must have done something wrong in some setting somewhere, but apparently wonderous tails DO work. In this case I DO recommend you do them each week, complete it on a high level job and dump it into a job to quickly burst it's experience up!
Yeah, that's is WEIRD. Why would Yoshi-P risk alienating his fans by having Wondrous Tails tasks not complete if you do with a high level carry or solo high level? I get the Extreme Trial stamps using my Level 80 Ninja and they were counted as completed. I think you were going so fast the message didn't appear and you didn't check your book. XD
Yea Wondrous Tails work.. i prepped one the week prior to Early Access, turned it in and did one during early access for ez Reaper level 81 - did Challenge Log (which i also prepped prior) and Leveling Roulette + Trial for my Sage.
You forgot Zadnor z3, full of ppl, 350k per fate, in like 200/250 fate you do 80-90 and not counting CE . This method is the fastest i experienced for exping everything since endwalker.
For wonderous tails, my wife and I did Garuda, Ifrit, and Leviathan unsynced and it gave us the stamp. Double MCH Burst at pull was even able to get us 8s kills on Ruda and Ifrit. Skipping their invuln.
Yeah, you can absolutely do them unsynced. I usually stomp through the dungeon requirements and any ARR trials solo as fast as I can just to get them done.
yeah I don't think I've used not-synced wondrous tails to get the rest of my seals since I realized this. I basically just do whatever unsynced trials I have unlocked to fill out what hasn't filled out on its own by the end of the week or two weeks, rather
Endwalker fates are actually crazy fast especially if you can get a group going. I was able to get my sage to 90 over the weekend and it has the added benefit of giving you bicolored gems which can make you some pretty crazy gil.
Bozjan southern front with some fellow peeps is by far the best way to level this expansion imo. Organized 4 party group can have a constant stream of fates and CEs while netting clusters and fragments to sell. You also dont need gear and the haste gear works once your past 80 (out side of earring). 71-80 in maybe 3 hours and 80-90 in 4~4.5. Come to Crystal exploratory missions if you're on Crystal and looking for a good group
I have been using wonderous tails and just unsynced the trials. Then used points to reopen the easy ones. usualy takes 25-30 minutes to complete a book.
MSQ > Roulette+BeastTribe+Wondrous tails > Zadnor > fates > side quests. - 80-81 zadnor is a lot better than your suggestion. - 80-86 zadnor is a lot faster than these ideas. For all DPS jobs, this is even better than queue for roulette + the roulette. It is even faster than doing fates while waiting for the roulette. Dungeons are great. But. You will struggle to complete more than 3 dungeons per hour. You will end up taking short breaks if you are 5 adults playing. People go to the toilet, people have to open the door. Get coffee etc. This costs. If you are DPS it is harder to get into groups or even queue. Even a short coffee break from any of your party members murders your EXP all the way down to 0 per hour. For efficiency, zadnor is always 100% effective. No queues. If some casual player takes a break, it costs you nothing, you keep going. This is the best way to level by far and away. Zadnor is the best. I have levelled 3 jobs today from 80-90 with time to spare for watching videos and extreme trials. And sleep. Go do zadnor. Especially if you are a DPS.
Seems like everyone has some awesome Wonderous Tails tips! For me, I found we're getting lots of new completions in the queues. So if you do get some instances that pop repeatedly, and they're in the book, then you can keep spending a point to 'retry'. Makes for a pretty passive fill-up. Also, those of us with setup BLUs can solo each of the ARR trials in about 1-2min each, and are ALSO subject to 'retry'. Takes longer to desynth everything, especially with the new guaranteed coffers. And now, once the queue is defeated in 2 hours, I might need to talk to some winged little miscreants...
I just looked it up to confirm, and it's an absurd level of exp. Like the absolute lowest I saw was 475k at level 80, and if that's true then I'm glad they gave such an incentive to grind side-content again. Thanks much for the tip!
Bozjan Southern Front (not Zadnor) gives ridiculous exp for each fate. Leveled 3 jobs to 90 there easily. If you do the strat where you hit enough enemies for gold credit or do 6 turn-ins for the turn-in quest then run immediately to the next one in any zone, you get 320-355k per fate, and can get 1 million EXP in less than 2 minutes. To be as effective as possible you’ll need Essence of the Breathtaker and a riding map to get around the map faster. If you don’t care about mettle, my strat has been to hit enemies for a very short while, then after I feel it’s enough to get credit I step onto aoes to kill myself and return to the aetheryte so I can Immediately teleport to the next area where the next fate is. There is literally no other leveling method more effective than this. Works like a charm from 80-90.
Apparently Boz/Zad exp continues to scale into the 80s, so it's still a good way to level quickly. It falls off a bit in the latter half of the 80s, but it's definitely a good way to do 80-81 if you're out of roulettes or something.
Even beyond 81 it's probably fastest. 330k each fate and the 81 dungeon gives around 2.2 mil if someone's first time completing it. With everyone doing bozja right now I'd be surprised if you can do that dungeon + queue time faster than I can do 7 fates. It's a fate every minute and a half maybe 2 minutes
CEs give over 800k exp, I'm surprised it's not in the video. Personally, even when I was playing tank with instant queues, I would often alternate between fate farming and zadnor instead of repeating the same dungeon over and over again, because the exp is crazy good, and I've already got 5 battle jobs to lvl 90 just by doing that, on top of getting close to max honor ranks in bozja, and half of the fate ranks in endwalker already capped.
@@kevinlandrini6799 No, just do Zadnor. I'm leveling everything from 71 to 90 in there and it is faster than the dungeons. As long as you have the armory bonus (1 class higher in level than the others) you will get 353K xp per Skirmish, and 853K per CE. Skirmishes take roughly 60-75 seconds to finish. CEs about 2-3 minutes. You're getting a million xp every 6-7 minutes with travel time (this is a soft guesstimate). I think it took me a few hours to get my reaper from 71 to 90. My SCH, GNB and RDM were all at 80 before starting so I just leveled them in there as well. 87-90 is when it slows down a bit, but I think it's still better EXP/min than the dungeons. The downside of course is that you're just doing Zadnor stuff. The upside is that it helped me get quite a few notes.
So I know you were specifically talking about Shadowbringers Side Quests, but I can confirm that EW sidequest are *very* good XP. Two side-quests is about one MSQ quest, or about one gold-medal FATE. During EW MSQ, I did all FATEs for mount speed as well as Side quests/Aethercurrent quests on my MNK alt, while using my GNB main for MSQ and Dungeons, and was able to have both hit 90 at roughly the same time (when the MSQ required level 90). I obviously wouldn't only farm sidequests and FATEs to level, but if you are waiting in queue on a DPS, doing the FATE and Side Quest content is way more fun than just sitting in Sharlayan.
You're right, the EW sidequests gave more xp this time. I'm OCD and can't leave behind all the "!"s so do those as soon as they appear (which is why it took me a week to finish EW) but by the time I got to the level 83 dungeon I was 86 and halfway on the bar to 87. So I started doing all the sidequests as altjobs after that. My focus was on 81, because like you mentioned once you can queue for new dungeons you're golden. I ended up getting 4 and almost 5 other jobs to 81. If had done that from the get go maybe it would have been 5, almost 6 and I wouldn't have wasted so much of my MSQ xp towards the end on my primary job (DRK). I'm going to hit 90 on PLD and GNB next then start working on my DPS classes.
I personally do MSQ Roulette Frontline Levelling sometimes Alliance roulette(This is keeping in mind Depending on role DPS is mainly who i speak of I am doing fates or doing Beast Tribe quests) Ontop of that I am doing Wonderous Trails for the weekly ontop of that. If your REALLY looking to grind away though especially on those new jobs like Reaper and sage Grinding Bojza in this case doing Zadnor will help a lot too even with getting past 81 too if your a DPS(is it the most fun? Not at all, but it will work. But you can work on your duels etc or farm glam in those zones this way while you grind this stuff out.) Every week I use wonderous tales doing the extreme ARR trials unsynced solo back to back to back and just repeat them until i get 9/9. it’s a MASSIVE exp turn in, and very fast.
Do wondrous tails. It’s half of a level and in fact you can just keep doing the same one when you hit redo. I just redo whatever the easiest extreme is. Under 30 seconds each. Great from going from 80-81
Don't know exactly if they changed fates exp, but it's been an amazing method to level my alt jobs. People have been trying to level/increase shared fates ranks, so there's trains in every map, the instanced maps also help to keep the flow and there's a surprising amount of bonus exp fates popping.
You can easially level most classes to lvl 81 by using the normal quests, which you probably want to do for their stories anyway. I mained SCH for MSQ quests then just leveled all others too 81 using the quests(You can complete them as your main and turn them in as any other job). After that I did FATE's combined with dungeons... Only thing taking time in Endwalker is crafting(which i sort of do as i level since i get issues with OCD if i can't handle my own materia). Also don't be afraid too swap to a lower level job if your ride by FATE's since there will probably be a FATE train coming anyways(or like i want to call em Grieve-trains, since It's pretty much impossible for people who are behind to get their riding maps atm. since you will never get to a FATE in time on standard mount speed unless it's right next too you... and then it will be flooded with enemies due to the trains increasing FATE enemy counts). Pixie dailies are only worth it if you are bloodsworn(since you won't get bonus exp if you are still getting reputation).

@@Aitherea just use the scenarios i have done that the trust system works funny it pretty much forces your run to take 20-30 min the npc basically gets stronger the longer the slower u are.
Challenge log at the start of the week. Really helps. Also the shb daily hunts offer ok amounts of xp still and also offer nuts if your not capped on them...
I can't find an answer anywhere so maybe it's just me. I main tank roles. And when I've done leveling roulette and the like it seems like I'm getting hit like a truck and the healers are just having to try very hard to keep me healed.
economically, avoid doing DR MSQ, it is a huge time waster despite giving huge chunk of xp. Best spent time on new shared FATEs while ranking em up for alot of various rewards can be bought with bicolor gemstone, or just crafting mats to sell already huge benefit. Another thing is spamming bozjan content if unlocked, since u can do many in tandem: loots from treasure boxes or straight drops, mettle stats, or even working on the old relics if haven't/interested. Even saw some ppl stayed till capped 90 just doing bozjan. & getting 10/10/10 mettle stats already a very long hurdle, so it does help huge time while grinding for new cap level.
@@Shiha52 haven't delved into shared FATEs much yet, but it's best to balance between doing them close to your level & judging how crowded the zones are, since smaller xp but crowded can also gives faster leveling process. I personally only take advantage of this mainly for ranking them up for various reward unlocks from gemstone purchases. & like I said, also a money maker from just buying crafting mats from gemstones. As for bozjan, they're pretty much fixed from level 80, but the FATES spawned so fast, you'll ends up mostly running back & forth getting fast xps & trying to nail a single hit before it went over real quick, hence being in a party is a must. & In zadnor specifically, CE can gives you up to 800k xp. Still... probably best to branch out especially after getting 10/10/10 mettle stats albeit it's a very long grind & probably already capped some of your own picked jobs.
Wonderous tails, lvl 50 extreme trial, Unsynced, refresh the Trial, repeat 10 times 15 minutes max. Turn in on whatever class you want. Good god do it.
!!Wondrous tales does work!! Unsyncing has always been the quickest way to fill out the journal, I am unsure if the dungeons count but the extreme trials absolutely do. I was filling my 9/9 out by running Ultima ex, 30sec a clear just the other day. I hope this info helps please please test again! Wonderful info regardless and I love your videos!
Honestly I think bozjan is the best way to level. Had a critical engagement get me 900k exp and skirmishes got me about 400k at level 84, considering I need 7mil exp to level I got through it pretty quick.
WT unsync counts, I always do it. Sadly I don't think the EW dungeons give enough exp. On odd lvls I need 3 dungeons and a tiny bit, either pixies or EW fates for one lvl And on even lvls I need almost 4 dungeons to lvl up. So it ends up being 7 times the same dungeon to get to the next dungeon lvl. That's roughly about 2 hours for 2 lvls if you only do that and already exhausted roulette. EW fates give about 300k per fate (including mob kill exp and special fate exp rounded to one number) In a big group you can clear a fate in about 2 minutes, with instance hopping you don't even wait for fates. With travel time let's say 3 minutes per fate. That's about 6 million exp per hour. roughly the same time exp gain you get for dungeons. But on top of that, you get Maidens. And you don't wait in queue. So you end up getting more exp over fates than over dungeons. I got 5 lvl 90's already and today gonna have my next one up, and I only do Roulette, pixies, challange log and fates. Ah and yeah, Do not sleep on challenge log exp, it is crazy high Especially 3 dungeon roulette, 5 dungeons, 5 player coms and fates, those are easy to do and give huge exp
Just do wondrous tails while also doing roulettes. The exp is pretty chonky and takes zero extra effort. Just use your second chance points to open up a space for whatever duty you’re currently doing.
Zadnor. Just under 30 mins per level from 80-83, then about 45-60 mins to 87; grinding skirmishes in Z3. Always a group going... multiple actually. Skirmishes take about 30 seconds. Weave in CEs and its incredibly fast. GLHF
Easy, just do wondrous tails + daily pvp duty + fates + pixie quests + trusts when you are out of everything else, you can also do a couple ew sidequests if you feel burn out on trusts, also you can do ew hunt board.
Same, i saw someone lvl 85 in there saying that it was still decent exp. only way might be to try it out and see how much xp you get/how long it takes.
Unsynced wonderous tales work, you probably did the hard unsynced and not the extreme versions. They are scalable 50% exp and you can just reset the arr extreme 9x to finish it for the exp. Theyre soloable usually and free af.
I found that Wondrous Tails and Prae yield greater XP the higher level you are. So try to save them for last, after you've done everything else for the night. I hit lvl 90 immediately after the Tower of Zot. Whoops!
I’m amazed that you have fucked up wonderous trials all this time. I say that not as a slight but in an endearing way, you’re quite detailed and accomplished lol
15 minute dungeon run. 20 minute queue so on average 35 minutes per dungeon including queue. That is what I'm seeing unless I'm' on my tanks then it's instant. Even healer queue is around 10 minutes so 25 minutes per run including waiting. I found just running fate group in bozja I can get a level an hour with a good party. Yes I'm talking about 80-90 outside of roulettes I jsut go there it's faster especially with the saturated healer and dps queues currently. If you can get a static party then off to the races you can burn through levels but solo queuing kind of sucks atm. At least that is my personal experiance. Your mileage may vary.

Just do Bozja. Zadnor z3 nets you 353K xp per skirmish, and 853K per CE (after lvl80). There is no instance where you don't have 40+ players in z3. The skirms die in about a minute, and the CE in about 2-3. My Reaper took a few hours to go from 80 to 90. It's also the fastest to level 71-80. 236K per skirmish, and 640K ish per CE. I'm gonna be leveling my SGE from 71 to 90 in there.
