Leveling up a cheap $10 department store watch! In this video I take a cheap $10 watch and give it a little leather makeover. I use some natural vegetable tanned leather to create a nice wide cuff. To add detail, I crease the edges and add a tooled border all around. I then apply dark brown dye via airbrush to the surface of the cuff, along with some dark chocolate dye along to edges to give it more of an antique look. The backside of the watch cuff is lined with super soft kip skin leather and is hand stitched all around. The watch face is secured to the band with nickel plated chicago screws and for the closure I use matching nickel snaps. I hope you enjoy the video and give this leather craft watch hack a shot.
