Guys, I didn't know about this product and it looks useful for us with 5th wheels! I could definitely use it so I'm purchasing through your link...thanks for sharing.

Thanks Adam! It was originally designed for 5th wheels and travel trailers, and has a cool feature that (being a motorized rig) we couldn't and didn't show. It remembers the exact hitch position, making it easy to return to the perfect height when you're ready to re-connect the truck. You'll have to let us kn ow how that works!

That was in the Alabama Hills, which was written up by our friends Nina & Paul here: wheelingit.us/2012/10/30/boondocking-site-review-alabama-hills-lone-pine-ca/. The EXACT GPS coordinates of our stellar site overlooking the whole area are: 36.610912, -118.128449. But we'll warn you.... it's a little hard to get level on that spot. ;-)

I really like this from a quick boondocking perspective, where you shouldn't really use your leveling jacks (Walmart, Lowe's, Cracker Barrel, Etc). It allows you to find a spot that is decently level and you're good for the night! Awesome! Thanks guys! Paul

I had a question on leveling with slide outs, and posted it on LogicBlue Tech's contact page. This was at about 5 PM CDT. Chuck got back, via his iPhone none-the-less, with an answer in about 10 minutes.... he's on the east coast I presume, being Command Electronics is in NC, and if so, that would be after 6 pm. An awesome product as shown in the great video by you, AND superior customer service??? Bought mine this morning, can't wait to use it.

Well just got an update from LevelmatePro through email...here is what they sent me for everyone looking to get one. LevelMatePRO is on its way! First, I would like to personally thank each of you for your interest in our LevelMatePRO product. The response to this product and the acceptance of our company by the RV community has been an overwhelming and fantastic experience all at the same time. I would like to take this opportunity to quickly update you on a change in our company. Our company name, Command Electronics, will be changing over the next few days. This was due to conflict with another company that uses the same name and also provides products for the RV industry. Our new company name is LogicBlue Technology and our new website address is LogicBlueTech.com. Our current Command-Electronics.com URL will redirect you to the new web address when we make the final changes. Not to worry as the company is under the same ownership and will continue to provide innovative products and great customer service! Now onto the information about when the LevelMatePRO will be available to purchase. We shipped 500 units to Amazon this morning and have 50 units in reserve for our website. We will be shipping 1000 more units to Amazon over the next 2 weeks so we do have more than enough going into the pipeline to satisfy the current demand. Since our pipeline is completely empty of product the restocking of it is going to be a strange process so please bear with us. Initially, due to the way Amazon handles inventory, ALL orders that are to be shipped to US addresses MUST be purchased through Amazon. ALL orders that are to be shipped to Canadian addresses MUST be purchased through our website. Orders for Canadian shipment will not be accepted through Amazon and orders for US shipment will not be accepted through our website. These shipment restrictions will no longer apply after we back to a normal inventory level at Amazon. You can place orders for Canadian shipment on our website (LogicBlueTech.com) beginning Thursday. Unfortunately on the Amazon side we can't be very specific at this time and here is why. When we ship products to Amazon they split our shipment quantity to go to different distribution centers. In the case of this first shipment more than half are going to TN, about 50 are going to VA and the balance are going to CA. The transit time to each of these locations is a know amount of time, however the check-in time at the Amazon distribution center is entirely up to them. We have had shipments checked in the same day and some have taken several days. However we are notified when a batch of inventory is checked in and available. Each time this happens at the various distribution centers we will send out a new email to let everyone know. Since we have had over 650 people sign up for this notification and because of the staggered availability explained above, we are certain that there will be periods of time where the product will be available and then sold out and then available again. This is the reason why we will continue to send out emails to let everyone know when they are available each time. As a covenience, here are links to both Amazon and our website store. Amazon.com LogicBlueTech.com We apologize for just how confusing all of this may be and we will keep everyone informed via email each and every time inventory is available to provide as much transparency and information as we can during this process. Thanks, Chuck Leonard President LogicBlue Technology

It's August, 2021. I just "installed" LevelMate Pro + . If all things in life were this easy we'd actually have world peace. Put it in a 25' 2019 Jayco Redhawk. I mounted it right under the "control" panel. Why make it a guessing game: "oh where did I hide that thing"? I'll trade it in with it and get the next model in a couple of years.

Ok, I'm usually good at this technology stuff. But I just bought one and how do I get my motorhome perfectly level in the beginning before I hit the "set level" button on the app like you state?
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 6 лет назад
Hi Jeff. For that, you'll have to use some other means of determining your RVs level... like a large carpenter's level. Or, if you have an interior door on your bathroom, you could use that to get your RV to the point where the door stays wherever you put it... and doesn't swing open or closed. It can take some time and effort to establish that initial "level" setting... but it's worth the effort in the long run, as you'll ensure that each time you level with the LevelMatePRO, you're getting back to that "perfect" level each time.

Yep, this just got added to my Amazon wishlist. Thanks! Our Mountain Aire is a year older than yours and I've calibrated the jacks twice and discovered the same ting as you - they're just not sensitive enough to make it "perfect" so calibrating it over and over isn't going to make it any better. I've become accustomed to auto-leveling, then using a bubble level in both the front and back to make it perfect. This should eliminate that process and save me a lot of time!

This looks like a great product. We searched the Apple app store and couldn't find the app (it was still available for download from the Google app store). Any idea why it is no longer available for Apple products?
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 8 лет назад
+Scott Follows Hi Scott. It's listed as available for iPhone only, so if you're looking to download it for an iPad, be sure to set your App Store search filters to look for iPhone apps only. Then you can download it to your iPad, where it will indeed work fine. We're dropping a note to the manufacturer to let them know about this anomaly in the App Store.

I purchased one of these and when it works it is great but It goes through a batteries faster than I can put them in. I'm thinking about wiring it to a battery pack for larger batteries or adapting it for hooking it up to my camper battery. (Of course in either case with a switch somewhere easy to get to on the outside so that it wont run those batteries down.)
@RVgeeks

We've heard of people having battery issues, and there are some battery-saving techniques that the manufacturer recommends for making them last longer. Don't know if you've seen their section on that on their website, but if not, it's here: www.logicbluetech.com/troubleshooting If you still have trouble, Chuck, the owner, is amazingly responsive and eager to help. I know this is an older video but I have a question. You don’t mention anything about your slideouts. I have a large living room slide that holds our couch, booth dinette and residential fridge. And a small bedroom slide for the bed. I get level before deploying my slides and then after deploying them I have to fine tune my leveling. If I install the LevelMatePRO+ how will it work with that issue? Any idea? I’ll also contact the manufacturer but thought you guys might know at this point in your experience with your device. Thanks!
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 4 года назад
Hi Marsha! Part of setting up the LevelMatePRO is to get your RV perfectly level, and then tell it you're now level. Then it will remember that exact position. Since you don't actually WANT to be level when you first set up (knowing that opening your slide will cause your rig to be out of level again), here's what we'd suggest. When setting up your LevelMatePRO, start by getting your rig totally, perfectly level, with the slide out. Then retract the slide and trigger the "Set Level" function in the LevelMatePRO set-up screen. It will then think you're perfectly level when the slide is in, even though you're not. Now when you put the slide back out, you'll be perfectly level again, even though the LMP will think you're slightly off. Now, every time you level your rig, you'll use the LMP to get to the exact same slightly un-level position (which it will of course think is level), and then opening your slide will bring you to an actual perfectly level position, first time, every time. You should never have to re-level after extending slides again. Hope this is clear, and helps. Please let us know how you make out!
@marshaadams5501
@marshaadams5501 4 года назад
RVgeeks thanks! That’s pretty much what I was thinking but I was worried that this would affect my being able to find the most level spot in a parking lot or Boondocking spot since I would be “tricking” the LMP+ into thinking I was level when in fact I would not be until I put my slides out. Maybe I’m overthinking it lol I do that occasionally 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
@RVgeeks

I’m guessing that your slide doesn’t throw you so far off level that it will matter that much. Good luck! 😄

Interesting product. I might order one. I have a Power Gear system in my '04 Country Coach, and same thing as the HWH. Never nails it on the first attempt. I usually end up using the built in Apple compass/level app and putting it on the floor to make manual adjustments. The other 'geek' think that bugs me, the air suspension doesn't 'quite' get it level at ride height. The only reason I can tell is looking down the coach in the garage and comparing it to the door opening. It is slight, but I know it. OTOH I've also read what it takes to adjust the valves, and for such a small variance, it ain't worth it. Love you guys! -don-
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 8 лет назад
Hi Don! We like our iPhone level as well, but it's a different animal, since it doesn't provide the specific number of inches each corner is off-level, so not as informative, and not as accurate. We also mostly care about perfect leveling so that the bathroom door will stay where we put it (I have enough collisions with overhead cabinets already, so don't need any more booby traps LOL). And there's no specific spot that setting the iPhone down will get us exactly leveled to match the door balance. But the LevelMate gets it perfect every time. The thing has amazingly tight tolerance and accuracy. Ride height adjustment is SUPER important, as the suspension geometry will be off without that, and could damage/age the driveline or tires over time. We have ours professionally checked and adjusted as needed annually, per Spartan recommendations.

Rvgeeks this looks like a great product and I will be ordering one today. I do, however, have a question. While you were driving around the parking lot looking for the most level spot wasn't your air suspension trying to keep you level as well? Thanks again for your great videos
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 8 лет назад
Excellent! Thanks for the comment, Stephen. Hope you like your LevelMate as much as we do. We did think about the air suspension not being spot on while on a slope, but we don't have active leveling air bags, so the effect is pretty minimal. We figured that at these modest angles, it would still give us a good idea which was the most level spot. So far, just driving around to what appears to be the most level, stopping, and looking at the LevelMate display has worked really well.

One of the downsides mentioned in the reviews is that the battery life is too limited as they could only get about three weeks on one battery and they had to undo four screws every time a fresh battery install was required. Then again, other reviewers have said that the battery life is two years. Which is it? WOW! Your answer was SO quick and thank you so much! After 8 months of watching various videos you have posted my wife and I were encouraged to pull the trigger and went out and purchased our new travel trailer. She's a beauty and we look forward to exploring this great country of ours. I know the vids you produce take a lot of time and effort so a BIG shout out to y'all!
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 7 лет назад
+Tony Gotelli The manufacturer recently updated the app so that you can set the delay before the unit goes to sleep to save the battery. It used to stay awake for 7 days after the last time it sensed movement. Now it can be set to as little as one hour. That's where we keep ours set, and it has improved battery life dramatically.

Be careful not to twist your RV while leveling, while leveling watch your windshield so it doesn't come out of the its gasket.
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 8 лет назад
Newmar (and most others) only allow you to lift the front, rear, left or right.... not one jack at a time. This prevents twisting, and we've never had a windshield pop. Some other makes were prone to that though, so great piece of advice. Thanks Terry!

RvGeeks....great video, but do you have any experiences using the level on an iPhone? If you slide the screen while using the compass a level is displayed. Just wonder if the level mate is worth the cost when I already have that functionality built in to my phone. Great job on the videos. Thanks!
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 7 лет назад
Hi Tim! We're iPhone users as well, but the LevelMatePRO is just so amazingly precise. It's especially useful for RVs without jacks when it comes to leveling, but makes it possible for any RV to find the most level ground before even attempting to level. Not en essential piece of gear, but a great quality of life improvement that goes above and beyond any bubble level, including the iPhone. Whether it's worth spending the money (we know it's not cheap), for a non-essential piece of gear is a personal decision. We've been on the road for 14 years, so leveling shouldn't be any big deal. But using the LevelMatePRO still makes us smile broadly every time we use it and the bathroom door stays exactly where we put it, first time, every time. :)

Great leveling gadget. Question: Do you lubricate your own hydraulic jacks periodically? If so, would love to see you do a DIY on it. Thanks again for your RV tips.

Hi Anna! HWH says the only time jacks should be lubricated is if they're sticking. We've never lubricated them and never had a problem. Here's the link on the topic: www.hwhcorp.com/ml47149.pdf

You guys do great videos! I just spent 8+ minutes watching a video on how to level an RV and I don't even own one. (But one day!!) Haha! Your voice over reminds me of a series of model railway videos (Kalmbach?) that I used to watch. Easy to listen to and clear. Thanks! Keep it up!

I'm looking at buying a motorhome with a broken computer that controls the jacks. Do you guys know how to replace just three computer or even if the computer can be replaced independently?
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 6 лет назад
We’ve never had to repair a jack system, but we’re betting it all depends on what brand. The first thing we’d do is identify whether it’s an HWH, Powergear, etc, and contact the manufacturer to see if they can let you know what’s involved in replacing the computer. It might be as easy as replacing the control panel.

Hi Marsha! We absolutely love our LevelMatePRO, and still tell people about it all the time.... okay, we sort of brag about it! LOL There’s really nothing else out there quite like it, other than the fact that they just released a new model with a couple of additional features. The LevelMatePRO+ adds a larger battery, a micro USB port which allows the unit to be hardwired if desired, and Apple Watch compatibility. It’s slightly more expensive, but the original LevelMatePRO is still available if you don’t care about those three features. Here’s a link to the LevelMatePRO plus, and you can see that the original LevelMatePRO (newer model of it with the on/off switch) is also available right there as well: amzn.to/2XfBAqM

RVgeeks thanks for responding! I’ve seen some negative reviews about the app. That they are now “tracking” users and they say they couldn’t use the product without accepting that update and agreeing to the tracking! Do you know anything about that?
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 4 года назад
Marsha Adams Hi Marsha! We just checked the version history of all the latest updates for the app, and don’t see anything about that. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t something like that in the text of the app. It might be something on the Apple side versus the LevelMatePRO side too. Apple might just be warning you that it uses information you enter to do its job, which many apps of course have no choice but to do that to function properly. We don’t really worry about that kind of stuff as a rule, and it’s so fantastic in general that if any details about our set up are helpful for them to continue improving it, we’re all in!
@marshaadams5501
@marshaadams5501 4 года назад
RVgeeks yes...it’s in the reviews of the app on the App Store. People are pretty upset about it because they don’t think any company needs to know their location when they bought the product just to level their rig, not to have their location tracked. I doubt knowing our location helps them improve the product. But I like the functions of the item so I’ll probably live with the tracking. If I purchase it I will definitely use your link when I’m ready to buy. I recently learned that if I use your link to buy an item and I put it in my Amazon cart but do not actually purchase it until a couple of days later, then you don’t get credit for my purchase! I think that’s a rip off on Amazon’s part so I’ll wait until I’m ready to purchase the item before I put it in my cart! Thanks for all you guys do...I love your videos because you give all the details! ❤️

Great video and I've already purchased mine. I've seen in other videos where you put something under your tires when staying at a place for a while. It looks like white plastic. Can you tell me what that is and where you purchased it? While in storage I don't want the tires one cement for the winter.
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 7 лет назад
Thanks for the nice comment! Glad you like your LevelMatePRO, too. :) The barriers we showed are just cheap, thin, flexible plastic cutting boards, which are great barriers against moisture from dirt or grass, and from the chemicals (petroleum products) in asphalt. But if you're storing on concrete, you don't need any barriers, as that's the very best surface for the tires. We've had our RV parked on concrete for many months at a time, may times, and never use anything under the tires there. Nothing needed.

Thanks for the reply. Having just bought my LevelMatePro, does it matter where it is in the RV? I have a 39 ft motor home. Should it be more in the middle or does it really matter? Thanks again!
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 7 лет назад
We haven't seen anything at all about a requirement for any particular spot in the RV. The only thing that matters is mounting it fairly level, and either parallel to, or perpendicular to, the sides of the rig, since we're pretty sure it won't work if it's at a 45 degree angle (not that there are many angled walls in most RVs). ;-)
@JeffTheFarmer365

see that's why I like fifth wheels. level it side to side with a board under the low side, front to back with the front jacks, stabilize it with the 4 scissor jacks. easy easy easy.
@commandelectronicsllc6979
@commandelectronicsllc6979 8 лет назад
Hi Randy, As mentioned in the video the product was originally designed for use with travel trailers and fifth wheels. Check our the product images on the Amazon listing or do a search for LevelMatePRO and you will find other videos that demonstrate the features used with a towable RV. You won't ever have to guess again about how many boards to stack under your tire and getting your hitch back to the reconnect position is taken care of for you as well. Our towable customers love it as well! Chuck Leonard Command Electronics, LLC

one question I have is this IF the RV is level with a level but ON An INCLINE will the toilet holding tank be level as well ??? I would think the fluid in the tank would be level with gravity.Am I wrong?
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 7 лет назад
Hi Ken! Once the RV is level, everything in it is level, including the holding tanks. They don't know the difference between the RV being on level ground and being leveled by jacks. And it actually doesn't matter, since the tanks all work fine, even if left on an incline. There are times when it's not appropriate to level (it's a no-no to put jacks down onto the asphalt at a place like Wal-Mart for example). We've left the RV un-level many times, and all systems work normally anyway.
@MrKennysplace
@MrKennysplace 7 лет назад
so on another note for toilets in the trailer and the holding tank how much water would you recharge the tank AFTER emptying it ?would half full be too much?I hear that if not enough water in it the solids will make a real mountain mess
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 7 лет назад
Filling the black tank 1/2 full with water after dumping will mean you only get use half of the tank's capacity. Add about 1 to 2 gallons of water after dumping. Other "liquids" you add (when you go #1), along with water from flushing, will add plenty of water.

@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 6 лет назад
When the bathroom door swings open and I walk into it in the middle of the night... that's when I hate being off-level! Its also nice to have the water run down the shower drain without pooling up over in the far corner of the shower, and making fried eggs in the morning is easier with the frying pan level. Sometimes it's the little things! 😊
@neddyladdy
@neddyladdy 6 лет назад
@@RVgeeks I think I would prefer to spend the extra few seconds it takes to shut the door properly several times a day, or maybe just the once before bed than to spend much time and money to get it to within level to a poofteenth of an inch.
@RVgeeks
@RVgeeks 6 лет назад
We prefer to leave the bathroom door open slightly to improve air circulation. But you go ahead and close it and stay off level. As my mother would say, “That’s why they make vanilla and chocolate.”

@@RVgeeks Bingo! You're the first person I've read mention that; cooking on a level cook top!! Most will notice that no matter how accurately bubble level most spots are in the trailer, there's always something not perfect, but is still within reason. Some have mentioned the importance of the fridge and that's also true, but my 2015 Norcold N61X Manual states leveling tolerance to be a generous ±3° side to side & ±6° front to back to operate safely. THUS, best choice for me is to accurately level up our stove top cooking grate surface! Because everything else will still be very close and after all the most important thing, the fried eggs & sizzling bacon, will be your morning's delight! So I am getting this unit and doing just that. As you know this unit measures the differences (side to side & front to back) from the set point of YOUR choosing. So it needn't be mounted perfectly level AND you can reset that "trailer level set point" any time again in the future. For example, if one wants to reset it to the cook top, dining table, bath door, counter top (for recipe measuring), or whatever surface you'd like to be at its level best, it's okay. Happy Camping! 😎
