My take on how to connect azure B2C as an authentication provider for Power Apps portal. Configure sign up sign in and password reset user flows, redirects, tokens, subscription, resource group, issuers, claims, and custom mapping in dataverse. Check it out!

This video is about securing your Power Apps portal/ Power Pages portal with the Azure B2C service. You can embed a Power Apps canvas app in a portal, but access to that canvas app is based on licensing--not the Azure B2C. I've read this: "You will need an Azure active directory user and power apps user license to access this app. If you logged out and navigated to the same portal page without being logged in as an AD user, you will find a sign-in screen. Anonymous users cannot access this app."

thanks a lot for this video. is there an option to send a validation code during a conversation? for example, the customer is calling us, and to validate he is the right person I want to send it an email with a code, to validate he is the right person.

I'm sure you could build in a tool that leverages their records in Dataverse. I would think a Canvas App could be built for your CSRs on the same Dataverse that holds your portal information. They could ask who is calling, do a search in the Canvas app (browsing the portal customers) then have the canvas app generate a unique key or code and mail to the customer for verification.

Would love to know if anybody has found a way to get the language selection to work on both fronts. Pretty annoying that it doesnt work cleanly, as you mentioned.

I know, it was quite the headache for us! We ended up doing it like I mentioned and had it work correctly. Two separate authentication providers, each with a different default language, and using the constructed URL to launch the specific provider when the language selector of the portal has changed 😅 I'd hope that MSFT will make it easier in the near future!

@@TheFlowHawk Interestingly, when i embed the sign up / login forms in the portal it changes to the language set by the portal user!
