Kinda useless to spread wide when ur in the final third because the goal is in the middle. Otherwise you’d have to cross it in from the wings and switching it doesn’t accomplish anything because all 11 players can sit behind the ball.
@@asod187 not to be disrespectful but much more development has been through european and south American football than NBA, u cannot compare the sports like they're in a similar state
@@DarkShadow-vg9dj that ist completely true. But the little development in the NBA had so much negative influence to the game. At least that’s how I and many other see it. Many of things we loved in 90ies and early 2000 Basketball are gone. But that’s the way it is. Maybe I am just old 😂
This is the product of having Benitez, Guardiola, Ancelotti and Mourinho as his managers. Not to mention Xabi Alonso grew up with a father that was in management too 🔥
The absolute perfect combination of tiki taka and jogo bonito. If you play against Leverkusen. It feels like you're going against 2 teams at the same time. Man city and Fluminense. The latter tactics aren't widely used in the European scene. It's new and others still don't adapt to it yet. So compact. High pressure. unpredictable.
Fluminense was hammered 4 goals😂😂 Don't use Jogo bonito. The Brasil team of the 70's faced opponents that were whack. Futboll had not spread to other countries. Brasil in 94 n 2002 was ultra defensive with 2/3 attacking players at the top Leverkusen is repeating what Dortmund did afew seasons ago then Bayern will get back to it's position
@@shamsuddinahmmad3934 I’m a Madrid fan , so I remember too. Only thing is right now we’re in semifinals and Barca and Xavi went home crying . Or how about 3 in a row like Michael Jordan? Messi might be the greatest of all time but Madrid is the greatest team of All time . Don’t forget that
@@K-S818how could we forget after the two great back-to-back exhibitions of quality football they showed at the Etihad???? Different outcome, but the same fierce attack and outstanding passing. Kudos!
Yea, we've seen that vs Union Berlin who parked the bus even much less than West Ham did vs Leverkusen but still Vini couldn't do anything to break through Union defenses. And Leverkusen thrashed Union two times this season. You're just being arrogant
You do realise while the game plan is similar they don't have the same tactics for all the games? It's tailored for each game to negate their strengths. Loll this ain't fifa boy. One team same tactics all season. He'd probably open the formation a bit to close out a fast counterattacking team. Again you can have all tactics you want but it's the players on the pitch that need to implement it.
Pretty much Leverkusen's weakness. You see Antony (West Ham striker) manage to get away a few times with that high defense. Vinicius and Rodrygo is the perfecf counter for this tactic
@@frezzbysnappywopapy leverkusen were still drunk from partying in that match. better example would be 1st leg when west ham didn't even manage to get one player out of their own half
The other day when i was watching their match i realised one thing:- They attack very slowly so they can save up their stamina to run back if the opponent team counter-attack thats why they attack with this many player and launches an attack full of passes😮😮
@QWERTYpiv that's true like we've seen that Real madrid in their current state are too much for 95% of all the teams in europe so we can't compare to that team that got trashed 4-0
Xabi alonso as a player was an absolute monster. I still can remember his long passes through the whole field, it's like pirlo but with dynamite in the leg
They are using a really old but effective system to perfection here. It’s called “The triangle”. If all players are always in triangular positions in accordance to each other, there’s a lower chance of the opponent stealing the ball due to 2 players always being open. The reason why neverlosing is so good at this is because the players work rate. You need players who are completely bought into this system so that the team works as one unit ultimately creating triangular positions for eachother. Xabi is a genius to make this work so well
I think the biggest thing that makes this tactic work is there’s no egos in the team. In a team like City, Haaland wont be passing the ball around. Or PSG, Kylian will want to take a shot, not pass the ball back n forth. Very refreshing to see a team of pure army-like players that use their chemistry and patience to beat their opponents.
@@brownsugar9743yes, I think Man City is quite balance tho, Haaland is not ego at all, for what i feel. Unlike Liverpool, you can see very obvious Salah has his ego, but since the consecutive lost he had being humble again.
Xtabi Alonso's thought is different. He combined many styles and applied the thought of possession, high pressure, tiki-taka, and transitions in the players' positions. 🔥
OFor the fluid type of play Barca had Alves, Iniesta Xavi n Messi How many years did Xavi n Iniesta have to wait for them to become midfield maestros. Xavi was at Barca in 1999😂
@@arfenmalik1717 I think you are commenting for the sake of having internet... I'm talking about how quickly it took Xabi to build a team that toppled Bayern... stop making excuses over something I was not even talking about.
Its actually crazy to think how they pull this off because one wrong pass or interception and its gonna be a nightmare counter attack from the opposition. Xabi Alonso has been amazing
@@FiyinSamuel-fn2ps the wing backs aren't the ones that sprint back. That's the job of the three CBs. Of course the whole team drops back if needed, but the defensive work on the counter is mostly done by Tah, Koussounou, Tapsoba, Hincapié or Staniśić
@@battistoberhoel8839 thats why i think the defenders should be the players to be behind the opposition players to be ready to intercept a pass or get the ball of them as quick as possible plus if they fail frimpong on the right to pace the attackers or grimaldo
@@battistoberhoel8839 frimpong should be near the right wing side instead of near the goal this is because if an attacker gets the ball frimpong has to use a lot of his stamina to run back
if you’re watching and only been watching (never actually stepped out on the field) football you’ll never understand how fucking beautiful this is. first of all you need to bring 10 players to that spot hahah man after all these years in this country i, as a cdm, never even try to get closer than 40m to the opponents goal, because by the time i get there we already lost the ball…twice 😂
@@999AGR with Ancelotti too, jose Mourinho too, he knows everything about counter attack, it would be interesting if Leverkusen gets real Madrid in group stage in UCL next year, how xabi will set up his defence against real Madrid counter attack ( mbappe+ vini+ rodrygo+ Brahim pacy counter+ kroos long balls+Bellingham pressing)
Tell me you never wached Barca pep without telling me . Even when he Coch Xabi himself in Bayer he do like this with him , so don't say something make you look like you never watch football
@@abdalghniessabraoui9614Nah without Messi's magic that Barca would be nothing. Xabi didn't need that kind of magical players to implement his tactics.
@@abdalghniessabraoui9614u should look at the players xabi is having and those magicians that pep now has and have had always . However till now pep is better.
@@guramgureshidze159 You didn't understand! Of course there are good Spanish coaches...but there are at least equally good coaches from other countries, the list is very long!
Appreciate in that pause frame that four west Ham players have got 7 of the Leverkusen players covered, even though Leverkusen players are on either side but in lines.
To defenders, know your man in the attack, stay on him. Don’t follow the ball, follow your man. Let the striker return in the half and chase it down then you’ll have a counter to convert.
I like players who understand how to play as a 'team'. Support each other when one find himself in a difficult position. No need to be so fancy on the ball. Just work your way out as a TEAM! Be there for your mate! 💯
Xabi alonso menjadi pemain tidak terlalu bersinar..tetapi dia pemain inti tengah...pemain yang inti tidaklah selalu mencatatkan nama pencetak goal...tetapi saya yakin dari pengalaman nya menjadi pemain pembagi bola...xabi akan menjadi pelatih terbaik didunia.❤❤❤
